By | March 30, 2025

Born and raised in California, John Driscoll’s journey into the world of voiceover began with humble roots. A graduate of Santa Monica High, his passion ignited during the 70s as a student broadcaster at KCRW FM’s College Radio Workshop. This early experience proved pivotal, launching him into a career that saw him grace the airwaves of iconic stations like WCFL Chicago and KSAN FM San Francisco, before landing the coveted morning slot at KZLA FM Los Angeles. His talent for crafting compelling promos soon made him the “Go To” voice at several stations, leading to a successful transition into television. In Los Angeles, he became the sought-after promo voice for KCAL TV and KABC TV, ultimately landing primetime gigs with NBC (2000), FOX (Area 51), NBA on TNT, VH-1, MTV, E!, and Disney Pixar films. Beyond entertainment, John’s voice has become synonymous with major automotive brands, serving as the national TV voiceover talent for Toyota, Chevy Silverado, Nissan, and Honda. His diverse client list includes Museum Center IMAX theaters, Miller Brewing, Sea World, McDonalds, and Netflix, and he’s a trusted resource for TV affiliates needing rapid turnaround on breaking news topical recordings.
