We are very happy to now confirm the appointment of the official bike transportation provider for Cannonball Bike Run 2024!

Being able to hop on a budget plane ride home and have your bike transported back from Bulgaria after CBR is finished is not only super convenient, it’s actually more cost effective.

The cost of fuel, tyres, tolls, hotels, meals, mileage/wear & tear on your bike and the additional time needed off work can easily add-up. Just the fuel alone to ride back to the UK would cost €350-400 for example!

With a fleet of 8+ specialist vans (actual example pictured above), we have the expertise to get your bike safely home, and the flexibility to team you up with other riders in your home country to split the cost and make the process as easy as it can be.

And don’t forget, if you fancy leaving your bike in the Italian Alps to provide you with fly-ride mountain riding for the rest of the season, you can do that absolutely free of charge at the new Cannonball Basecamp.

The 3.00 am ‘inspiration’ to do a super-early recce to the Austrian high-alps in the heart of winter seemed like a great idea at the time.

Then the exponentially more stupid 4.00 am “let’s do it in a camper van” judgement failure somehow sealed the deal (as well as almost certain frostbite).

But hey, we did it and we didn’t die! We got a few photos too.

Plus, we checked out a ton of hotels along the way and have now booked in the 7 best we could find that would have us ….

Come May, we’ll head back to finalize the routes and double-check that the fantastic beer we discovered still tastes just as good.

If you view storing your bike away for the winter season as a necessary evil, then take inspiration from veteran Cannonballer, Finland’s Adrian Niemela. With paintwork inspired from his 2020 Cannonball that visited Rome, Adrian has painstakingly put together this sick custom built BMW S1000RR.

Rest-assured, the spiked tyres are not just for show – this is no show-pony. As part of the Motor’s Therapy Team, Adrian and fellow Cannonballer / Team member Markus spend their winters ripping across the frozen lakes of Finland at, ahem, “enthusiastic” speeds – not always on 2-wheels.

In this series of “Featured” posts, we’ll be showcasing a selection of Cannonball Bike Run entrants to give our readers a feel for the average rider.

Of course, if there could ever be an “average” Cannonball rider, Jezza is anything but. As a 10-time Cannonballer and Pro AMA Racer in both SuperSport and SuperStock classes, it’s kind of crazy to think that he has ridden the equivalent distance of circumnavigating the entire globe over the course of his 10 Cannonballs to date. And the fact that he has achieved that without a single incident or off is testament to the quality of his riding and road awareness.

Sure, he has been known to pop the “occasional” wheelie. By some kind of miracle he seemed to capture all 10-years worth in a single day as shown in his bike-cam footage above from Day 6 of CBR 2022. Also featured in the video is young hotshot Tristan who joined the event for the first time in ’22. Enjoy.
