1990

June 1, 1990

Started CEC Corp

Upon returning from my adventure on the high seas, I decided I would work for myself. I started a consulting company called Computer Efficiency Consulting or CEC corp. The company worked fine for a couple of years (in fact it still exists today).

1993

March 1, 1993

Announced CyCube in Denver

The first Public announcement of the CyCube was in Denver Colorado at One BBS con. a trade show directed toward Bulletin Boards. The internet was just starting

Moved into a sail loft

In order to build the systems I needed a place to do the work, store inventory and house staff, so we opened up an office and manufacturing facility on City Island N.Y. in an old sail loft (what would you expect, I did live on a boat you know)

1994

Woodstock 94

Everybody has heard of Woodstock, the festival not the town. Well for the 25th anniversary there was a recreation, not at the original location, but across the street from my house.

Visited Ann Marie in Spain

Ann Marie was going to school in Salamanca Spain. Thanksgiving was coming so I thought I would spend Thanksgiving with my daughter. We arranged to meet in the Plaza Mayor under the big clock (this was before cell phones) You find me a BIG clock

Started CyNet

After a few years of making and shipping CyCubes, while at a trade show our VP of sales suggested we get into the Internet access business, so we started a company called CyNet. The first ISP (Internet Service Provider) in the Bronx.

Learned to play the Autoharp

It was then that I decided to learn a musical instrument so I could join and participate in the shanty sings. I settled on the Auto Harp, I decided to go to Augusta Heritage Festival in Elkins West Virginia to learn. (Just getting there was an education)

Started DWDS Web creations Company

Shortly after that, we started another company to develop web sites for clients as the Internet was getting very popular and all sorts of companies wanted their own site. The company was named Dynamic Web Design Studios i.e. DWDS.
