Heritage’s Manager Ashley Ivey Shares Skills (and Subs!) with Paulsboro High School Students 11 Apr 2025, 8:01 pm

In February, Ashley Ivey, our incredible manager at Store #18 in Paulsboro—spent time giving back to the community in a delicious way!

Ashley visited Paulsboro High School to work hands-on with students as part of their skill-building program. During her visit, she taught the students how to make one of our classics: the Italian sub. The students didn’t just learn a new culinary skill—they also got to enjoy the tasty results of their hard work!

We’re proud of Ashley for representing Heritage’s and inspiring the next generation with both her knowledge and community spirit. Great job, Ashley!

Heritage’s is proud to support the Boy Scouts of the Garden State Council through their 2025 Camp Card Program! This annual fundraiser helps local scouts earn their way to camp and other exciting activities, while giving customers a great way to save at participating businesses.

Let’s give a big round of applause to Anthony Rodriguez, our Wholesale Magician of the Month!

Anthony has been doing a fantastic job as a warehouse picker, and he’s also stepping up to learn driving responsibilities for our outside accounts. He brings a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and is always ready to jump in wherever help is needed.

Recently, Anthony has taken on refrigeration picking each week and has been doing an excellent job. His consistent performance, eagerness to grow, and always-cheerful attitude make him a true asset to the team.

We’re grateful to have Anthony as part of the Wholesale family, and we look forward to seeing all he’ll continue to accomplish.

A huge congratulations to Ashley Ivey for being recognized as Manager of the Month for March 2025!

Ashley Ivey has demonstrated exceptional leadership by turning Store #18 around through hard work, a great attitude, and perseverance. She has successfully reduced controllable losses, maintained full audits at or below company goals, and ensured her store is always neat, clean, and organized.

Beyond excelling in her own store, Ashley stepped up in a big way to organize and schedule shifts for Store #32 while leadership was away. Without hesitation, she took control, coordinated with district managers, and ensured everything ran smoothly—a true testament to her dedication and initiative.

Ashley is also deeply engaged in the community. From bringing the Crazy Cow to the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony , to teaching special needs students at Paulsboro High School how to make Heritage subs, she continuously finds ways to make a positive impact. She even went the extra mile by preparing bagged lunches for students participating in the Black History Month program.

Ashley’s kindness shines through in small but meaningful ways—like personally buying reusable bags for guests who walk, making it easier for them to carry their purchases. These thoughtful gestures truly show how much she cares for her customers, her team, and her community.

Carol Garrett has gone above and beyond in stepping up to cover Samantha’s responsibilities while she is on leave. From handling inventories, covering exceptions, and resolving accounting issues to jumping in wherever she’s needed, Carol has proven to be an irreplaceable part of the team.

Her attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to help others have not gone unnoticed. Whether fixing gift card activation and redemption issues, catching important inventory and item concerns, or even fixing an “oops” moment with newspaper receivings, Carol handles it all with patience, accuracy, and a friendly attitude.
