Men @ Work, the JBHS VMA men’s choir, started their undefeated competition season streak with the 2017-18 school year. To this day, they have not been defeated in competition…bringing the streak to three seasons and counting.
This year’s theme was Fast Food and featured the guys dressed as Burger King, McDonald’s, and In & Out employees. In possibly the most hilarious competition set ever, the guys asked the age old question….Can… read more

Vocal Ensemble, the a cappella group comprised of members of the advanced Powerhouse choir, will collaborate with William Martinez for four performances of his one-man show, “Signing The Song,” at The Colony Theatre in Burbank.
“Singing The Song” is the true story of a boy who discovers music and voice after growing up in a deaf household. The show brings together American Sign Language and song lyrics for a unique and engaging performance.… read more

Powerhouse Completes 1st Undefeated Season Ever 22 Apr 2017, 6:36 am
With Grand Championships at Bonita Vista, Hart, Arcadia, and the Hanover/Lee Davis Festival of Choirs, Powerhouse finishes the 2016-2017 competition season undefeated. This is exceedingly difficult to do in the Tier 1 California division competing multiple times against some of the nation’s top choirs.
Sound Waves was also undefeated in the Intermediate Division for the first time since 2012. Sound Sensations was named the Grand Champions three times, including Bonita Vista, Arcadia and Hanover/Lee Davis.… read more

Both of our acapella groups–Vocal Ensemble and Muses–were featured on the Evening News during the week of December 12th for the holiday "Wishing Tree" event with Fritz Coleman. Our singers caroled for the crowds up at Universal CityWalk and were seen on camera numerous times bringing cheer to all. Great job kids!
