Hot Beautiful Colombian Model Yazz Giraldo Pasadena Bridge Los Angeles

Yazz Giraldo, Her Early Beginnings

As a child, I felt a strong desire to connect with people through art. Throughout my youth, I dedicated myself to studying theater and dance. I danced professionally for the most important schools in Cali, Colombia. While at the Maria Sanford Dance School I studied Ballet, Jazz, Middle Eastern Rhythms, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. I studied professional Salsa Dancing with “Estilo y Sabor“, with whom I competed worldwide and won the 2008 Salsa Championship.

Discipline, the Arts, and My Country Prepared Me Well

I knew success would not be easy. However, the discipline I learned throughout my early years proved that the arts would become my foundation. My humility, drive and the lessons I learned while growing up in a third world country would serve me well. These lessons truly shaped me and gave me the drive and skills needed to fight and never surrender to obstacles. Furthermore, I am very proud to be a talented Colombian Model representing my country around the world.

Motivated to Pursue Her Dream in the U.S.

I was motivated to continue pursuing a career in the arts. With only $300 in my pocket, I moved to America when I was 21 years old. I was very young and innocent but my heart was full of dreams and I believed in my strength and knew I had the ability to become someone special in life.

Eligible to Work in the U.S.

Once I was eligible to work and study in the U.S., I knew I wanted more. Obviously, I chose to dedicate myself to obtaining my dreams. I wanted to learn and grow in the U.S., however, I also did not want to lose my Colombian roots. My Colombian roots are the essence and the source of my passion and drive. In addition, I was maturing and becoming a woman who wanted to become more professional in all aspects of my life.

Pursing a New Goal

Although being a Colombian Model has afforded me many opportunities I have always had an affinity for journalism and communications. Obviously, I went after this new goal with the same dedication, fervor, and passion that I had pursued in dance. I knew I was ready to evolve.  My passion was being redirected and the reality of my relocation to the U.S. was now real. Clearly, leaving my home country, friends, and family afforded me the perfect situation to reinvent myself. Despite if it meant starting from zero.

Making Sacrifices and Working Hard

I enrolled in Miami Dade College and studied hard while working odd jobs, teaching dance, and tutoring Spanish. It was difficult or, let’s say, extremely difficult! I persevered and received my degree. After 5 years of living in Miami, I decided I wanted to pursue my career more aggressively. As a result, I moved to the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles.

Moving to Los Angeles

When I finally made the move to L.A. my struggle included having to sleep on many sofas in L.A. However, I continued to hustle and always stayed focused on my goals. Eventually, I began working as an infomercial host that included some other commercial work too. Bottom line, I hustled to find work wherever and whenever I could find it.

Colombian Model Yazz Giraldo Family Portrait 2020

I went on countless casting calls where I was met by countless rejections but I never gave up. I was not going to be deterred. The dance was still a part of my heart and I once again began teaching dance in L.A. While teaching I met my husband, the love of my life, and the father of my son.

My efforts and persistence began to pay off as I started hosting on red carpets. The two most popular TV shows I worked on were “America’s Got Talent” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” Also, began interviewing for TheBuzz channel. Not to mention, entertainment show segments on prominent Latin American television most notably on the UNIVISION network.

The 2020 Pandemic Pivot

Although the 2020 pandemic has had a detrimental effect and some of my projects. I refuse not to stress too much. My dear friend, Robert Jones, began to brainstorm some new project ideas for me. He reached out to me with an invitation to host a YouTube Spanish entertainment show called “The Buzz en Espanol”.

Please accept statistics, marketing cookies to watch this video.

Currently, I am super excited to be working with Robert Jones on The Buzz en Espanol Show where I get to perfect my craft. I am interviewing inspirational, talented, and successful Latino artists. My attitude is “All IN!” to help make this show a success. I personally feel it’s important to show Latinos in the U.S. how talent and hard work can make one’s dreams a reality.

Yazz Giraldo Stays Motivated & Humble

Interviewing inspirational people has been a blessing. I have learned to listen more, as a result, I get to learn more about society. I get to hear the stories of others who have become successful. Subsequently, they have become examples for others. I get to see how human they are and how they have fought to break through barriers. This gives me great inspiration and motivation.

Colombian Model Yazz Giraldo Pasadena Bridge Los Angeles

I will continue to focus on my career and strive to have a national show on a major network. I have learned so much through my journey that I would also love to give back at some point. For example, I would love to give workshops that motivate other Latinos. I want to awaken their potential so they too can make their dreams come true.

As you have just read Yazz is an amazing Colombiana with smarts and extraordinary focus! Latina Model Magazine plans to stay in touch with Yazz to see where her career dreams ultimately land her. Please Follow Yazz Giraldo on IG. (If you know of any other Colombian Models reach out to us so we can feature them as well).

Our interview with L.A. Swimsuit Designer Monique Deptula

What city are you from?

I am from one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City.

Are you married with children?

Yes, I am married to my husband Ryan, and we have two amazing daughters Isabella & Alessandra. Plus the best mom ever who is now in heaven.

Why did you choose a career in Fashion?

I am a very creative person. I love to create, especially with patterns that have bright colours and unique shapes. Furthermore, the design aspect of fashion design is gratifying. Being able to play with colours and shapes is the essence of fashion design.

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”28″ gal_title=”monique-deptula”]

What are your greatest strengths, and how will they help you as a Fashion Designer?

I never give up on my goals, this mindset not only helps me achieve my goals as a fashion designer,  but it helps me with everything I do in life.

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a designer?

Since I was a kid, I love playing with colours, especially arts & crafts, and letting my imagination fly.

When did you land your first internship, and what was the most valuable thing you learned from this experience?

I got to work with the incredible designer Fernando Alberto, a very talented artist. I learned all his tips and have put them into practice.

What was your first job out of college, and how did you land that position?

It was with Latino designer, Fernando Alberto. I think he saw my passion for following my dreams and the fire in me that feeds my soul. Don’t give up!

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career, what would it be?

It will be. Work hard and surround yourself with successful people; they will be your mentors, and in instances, they will be the ones who could give you incredible opportunities.

What was the biggest rookie mistake you made when you started?

I was trying to do it all by myself. Now I know to hire experts in certain areas.

How is working in fashion different today than from when you started?

It is changing fast, and online sales are becoming the norm in today’s digital world. In my opinion, it will soon lead the market if it has not already.

What was your biggest fear when starting your swimsuit fashion line?

My biggest fear is to get stuck with a large fashion show production where the people you depend on fail you.

What made you want to expand your business from just designing swimsuits to men’s and children’s fashion pieces?

Because family is my priority in life and why not design for the whole family 🙂

What is your favourite part about being a designer?

Having the ability to set trends and express my thoughts. And having the ability to have my creations worn by amazing people.

How do you want women to feel when wearing your swimsuit pieces?

Happy, powerful, comfortable, pretty, and unique.

What advice would you give to young designers just starting and hoping to make it in the industry?

My advice will be to let your creativity flow but always have a clear vision of what you want, set up a theme, and go from there so your collection makes sense.

Please describe your brand or line of products.

Vichi Swim is a fun brand that sets trends and makes people feel happy, comfortable, and unique.

Please describe your style.

I like sensual shapes with unique prints and a touch of sparkles.

At Miami Swim Week 2019 Latina Model Magazine was privileged to shoot beautiful Latina Model Luly Basso from Argentina with the awesome suits provided by Vichi Swim designed by no other than Monique Deptula.

How long have you been a professional designer? And what is your earliest design memory?

I have been a professional swimsuit designer for nearly six years. My earliest design memory? The moment I had to walk from store to store in the L.A. garment district.

I remember squeezing between lots of leftover fabrics with my baby in her stroller and my other baby held in my arms. Just to try to find something that I could use in a design piece.

What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve heard? And do you follow it?
It was to don’t be afraid to get loans to grow your business, and I am working on letting that happen, which isn’t easy as I  don’t have credit cards or any debt.

What is your favourite place to shop, anywhere in the world, and why?
I love to buy in the USA; you can find everything you want in any colour or shape from head to toe. Moreover, I also like to see all the cute new things coming out from countries like China.

What music, movie, book, or magazine gets you ready to sketch or brainstorm?

I love to watch Victoria Secret videos. Or seek out some Agua Bendita designs to inspire me to get started.

“Good design is obvious when your heart & soul are in it!”

Monique Fashion Designer de Mexico City

As far as Latina Model Magazine is concerned this Latina designer is the most determined swimsuit designer we know.

Her determination combined with her talent increases her odds for long-term success in a very difficult industry in our opinion.

Latina Model Magazine can’t wait to see her new 2021 line debut at Miami Swim Week.

You can also frequently see Monique on Telemundo discussing fashion trends and a host of other trending topics.

Angela’s Background

Angela says “I’ve always had a love for the beach and the sun’s heat in tropical locations. I guess that’s expected since I have been to Hawaii every year since I was a toddler. Eventually, I moved to Oahu while still attending high school.”

She adds that after graduation, she moved to Miami to attend The Art Institute. Her major was graphic design. She began working as a print model including some work on network television. The work included Maxim Magazine, VPX Sports, and in the Wilhemina Model Fitness Division.

The Quest for the Ultimate Core Workout

“Striving to be in the best possible shape was a huge struggle to be perfectly honest. The daily grind of hitting the treadmill or even working out with a trainer was something I always dreaded. Most of the time I was bored and not achieving any results I was hoping for.”

At the gym, I was physically pushing hard but lacked the mind connection aspect of it. I found that the connection between the mind and the body plays an important role in your fitness journey and the results you can achieve. It took years to find the love that I have for health and fitness that I currently have now.”

Angela says, “I have been a ballet dancer since the age of three. I started dance at the Conservatory Ballet in Northern Virginia and Miami City Ballet. Dancing has always been and continues to be something that is very therapeutic to me for my mind and for my body.”

Finding Barre and What is Barre?

Latina Fitness Guru Angela Mallory

In the last few years ballet has become a popular fitness trend. It has also become very popular in new fitness classes called Ballet Barre. The Barre workout has made its way into gyms across the country.

Angela Mallory

What you will typically experience in a Barre class is ballet-inspired movements with the combination of weights and strength training. The classic ballet movements of plié and relevé will be something that you hear over and over again.

Plié: to bend – the movement where you bend your knees. This can be done in any of the 5 various positions in classical ballet.

Relevé: to raise – the movement where you use your calf muscles to rise to the balls of your feet.

Ballerinas are often known for their ballerina legs which are strong and have defined calves due to this repetitive movement.

The foundation of these classic ballet moves will often provide stronger chiseled muscles than the average squat can do. These movements are addressing every angle of the muscle in small isolated movements. Although seemingly simple these isometric movements will have your muscles shaking and sore from the increased repetitions.

Incorporating Barre into Dance was Exciting!

When I first discovered Barre I was so excited to be able to incorporate my love for dance with cardio workouts followed by a sculpting session using weights. The class is also very rhythmical and some have portions of choreographed dance. I love how the mind and body connection comes into play during these classes.

If your mind starts to wander you can easily fall out of sync with the rest of the class. There is no room for disconnection. The more I started to take these classes the quicker I began to see the fat melt off my body and the sculpting and toning of my muscles began to appear.

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”26″ gal_title=”Angela-Ballerina”]

For the first time, I was actually seeing my glutes and arms take shape. This was surprisingly something I was never able to achieve when I was just going to the gym. I found barre to be the perfect combination of exercises to strengthen your core and tone your muscles.

Not all Barre Classes are Equal

Not all Barre classes are created equal. I found this out as I visited different Barre classes. I didn’t really like the class structured as a true Barre class format. Some classes may feel really slow and too isolated on certain muscle groups. I just felt the class to be really slow-paced and boring.

Why Ballet is Perfect for Burning Fat & Body Sculpting

There are so many reasons why ballet is the perfect form of dance to incorporate into a workout class meant for sculpting and burning fat. Ballet not only increases flexibility but endurance as well. It is a form of endurance training mixed with pilates.

Throughout the class, the most classic ballet positions you will do are pliés, squats, relevés, and tendu. These muscle-sculpting movements along with the use of weights and booty bands will transform your body to be lean. You will also lengthen it as well as build up your muscle.

The Creation of Barre Babes Bootcamp

My love for ballet and fitness led me to complete my Barre certification. I wanted to share the benefits with others as well as use my gift in dance.

As a result, my experience in Barre, dance, and HIIT (High-Intensity Training) classes led me to create Barre Babes Bootcamp. I developed this class that I feel brings Barre to the next level. It’s a fast-paced cardio workout meant specifically for sculpting as well as burning fat.

Throughout my Barre Babes Bootcamp class, you will experience a high-intensity cardio workout to melt off the fat. A weight sculpting workout to strengthen your core and tone your muscles followed by a choreographed dance session and cool down.

I love the fact that this class blends perfectly together with an intense cardio burst, weight sculpting, and a mind and body connection through movement and dance.

Barre Babes Bootcamp Events

My monthly events not only offer a boot camp class but a time for community and connection after. I feel that health and fitness are a way of life and it’s important to connect with others on the same path.

All classes are followed by some healthy bites and maybe even some bubbles to celebrate. There are also vendors to shop from and support the local community as well as a time to connect to make some new friends.

I feel that connection and community are so important in your fitness journey. Staying on track can be a challenge so immersing yourself with like-minded friends will set you up for success in the long run.

Rising Latina fitness influencer is just 15 years old 29 Apr 2020, 5:58 am

Bree Santillan is a Young Latina We Just Had to Profile

At Latina Model Magazine we associate with many beautiful & successful Latina fitness models & influencers. However, we have never met one so focused, competitive, smart and so young as Bree Santillan.

With a 4.5 GPA and a win under her belt for the strongest dead left in her weight class and age at the 2019 Mr. Olympia was quite impressive!

Bree will achieve all her goals because 1) she is determined and 2) she has incredible family support. Read on to learn more about this rising star.

How Bree got on the path of becoming a Latina fitness influencer

Bree is the daughter of Sarah & Rick Santillan and has two brothers Antonio & CJ. She lives in Hacienda Heights California just 20 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles. Bree is a sophomore attending Los Altos high school.

After years of watching her two brothers participate in sports including high school football. One thing Bree’s father implemented was a strict weight training program for both her brothers. Bree’s interest in weight training obviously influenced by her family.

Where this young Latina found her motivation

The moment she decided that she wanted to train & compete was when she saw the movie “Pumping Iron”, Pumping Iron is a weight lifting documentary she watched on Netflix recapping the peak bodybuilding years of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Bree Santillan Teen Body Builder

Bree says “I always knew the end result of cutting, going on stage, but I never saw the beauty of the process and grueling work this sport entails. Watching Lou Ferrigno and his dad in the documentary also made me want to emulate that intense training style.”

Bree states “It motivated me to see I was following the steps of the biggest names in bodybuilding and how I could potentially reach those heights and that stage if I stayed consistent in my training.”

Advice from a rising Latina Fitness Influencer

Bree is a typical teen raised in Los Angeles county. However, while many girls her age are taking selfies of themselves every 5 min. Bree is more interested in subjects like math & science, even before high school. Her favorite class is chemistry, she has always enjoyed math.

She says “although I have never been very efficient with my time (like most typical teenage girls her age) “it all changed after deciding to devote myself to a healthy & fit lifestyle. I’ve learned time management and responsibility as a result of my fitness training.”

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”21″ gal_title=”Bree”]

“The joy and fulfillment I feel after I leave the gym after having a rough day motivate me to continue to lift weights. Fitness training also helps me cope with the stress of school all while helping me to achieve a more muscular physique. These are the main reasons that keep me motivated to continue to train.”

Bree works out 5 times a week. “Working out 5 times a week allows me to hit most muscle groups so I don’t neglect certain areas of my body. Additionally, I feel as though resting for two days allows my body to achieve optimal results without overly exhausting my body.”

Her Favorite Body Part

Her favorite body part is her quadriceps. “I actually enjoy that feeling when your legs are wobbly from pushing my limitations. It’s quite a satisfying feeling to finish a leg day and feel like my legs are completely beat!”

Furthermore, her favorite exercise is leg extensions, naturally. It’s a key exercise for quad focused leg days. “It’s often the exercise I use as my finisher in which I leave feeling quite accomplished.”

Competition Debut at Mr. Olympia 2019

Bree Santillan 1st Place competition award

In 2019 Bree competed in the prestigious Mr. Olympia competition in Dayton Ohio. She placed First in the women’s overall teen competition. The “Ultimate Teen Challenge” Award.

Recently she dead-lifted 298 lbs at her most recent meet “My personal record was 315 lbs at my local gym. I did encounter a back injury which has delayed more progress but I think my strength is starting to steadily increase again.”

Due to family concerns and my body potentially not having undergone full development, my parents want me to wait to compete until I’m either 17 or 18. I’ll definitely push for 17.

How Bree plans to influence her generation & community

This 15-year-old Latina is already meal prepping in order to keep atop of her fitness regiment. Her favorite meal prep is always white potatoes, chicken, avocado, and carrots. “It’s simple and very easy to cook in bulk which is also my main priority when meal prepping for school and the week ahead.”

“Teenagers often lack proper education regarding nutrition and in these early years of our lives, it is vital for our bodies to mature in a healthy way. “

Bree Santillan Poses Venice Beach

“Rather than resorting to extreme measures or feeling hopeless to see changes in one’s body composition, I want to teach the youth that simply lifting weights alongside a balanced diet high in protein is important, and getting toned is indeed possible in a moderate way.”

“My future goals are to educate girls that being fit and healthy should always be the number 1 priority when it comes to wanting to evolve your physique.”

Inspiration & Goals

Bree’s biggest inspiration in the fitness world is one of the top Latina fitness Influencers named Lauralie Chapados. “She shows determination and emulates the competitor I’d like to be when I grow older.”

Her ultimate fitness goal and she confidently states this “My ultimate fitness goal is to become Mrs. Olympia one day as soon as I become eligible to compete. Moreover, Fitness gives me purpose and achieving something so remarkable in my community, and it’s extremely rewarding.”

As you have just read Latina Model Magazine believes Bree will have no problem becoming a very successful Latina Fitness Influencer or whatever she puts her mind to. Her determination at such a young age is worth taking note of especially for others her age who say they can’t when they actually can. Bree is living proof.

Latina Supermodel Camila Morrone with Argentinian Roots turns to Acting 27 Mar 2020, 8:57 pm

Latina Model Magazine profiles the beautiful Latina Supermodel Camila Morrone. We explore her youth, modeling career, the company she keeps and her new passion for acting. Many Latina models aspire to have great careers in the world of modeling and entertainment but it’s no easy feat. However, once a Latina model can get her foot in the door they often prove they can succeed.

Camila’s Early History

Camila Morrone was born in Buenos Aires-Argentina and raised in Los Angeles. She grew up in an Arts District in Argentina with her mother Argentine actress Lucila Polak and with her father Máximoa, a very successful male model. Beauty and talent run in her blood!

Camila Morrone Happy Latina Model

Camila started her modeling career when she was in high school. Camila has never had a problem working hard for what she wants. She once worked for a local fashion boutique including other businesses in the Los Angeles area that helped her pursue her dream.

She attended Beverly Hills high school located in the famous 90210 area code. It’s a well-known high school in L.A for “Rich Kids.” In many interviews, she recalls many kids her age, 15 and 16, would spend thousands of dollars shopping on weekends as if it were nothing.

She has said that she didn’t want to be like and proceeded to get her own modeling jobs. With the money she earned, she bought herself a car at eighteen years of age.

She finally earned enough money to move to New York City. Currently, signed by IMG Model Agency. IMG is a leading modeling agency in the world.

Living the Model Lifestyle

Camila Morrone is a well-known fashion model and her social circle includes friends like supermodels Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner. As a runway model, we have seen her walk some very well-known fashion shows like Moschino’s 2017 resort collection. In addition, modeling for Victoria’s Secret catalog for the famous lynx brand.

Camila has modeled in major fashion magazines as well like Vogue Turkey, Vogue American, and Vogue Espana. She has also been on the cover of Love magazine. Latina Model Magazine would like to see her on one of our covers too.

Camilla Morrone Stepfather & Mentor Al Pacino

Her stepfather Al Pacino, became her mentor when she first started acting. Many would think that because she is Al Pacino’s stepdaughter, her path to success would be easy, quite the opposite. She didn’t prepare for her first audition because she assumed she wasn’t going to get it.

Camila Morrone was surprised by her agent when he told her she had got the job. The first thing she did was to ask her stepfather for advice. So he invited her over for tea to go over the script with her. Smart decision!

Fun fact? She wanted to quit modeling when she got her first big role. Afer getting the part in “Death Wish” it was at that moment she knew acting was what she wanted to pursue.

Latina Model Magazine

Camilla Morrone | Transitioning to Acting

One thing we learned from Camila Morrone is that even if you’re afraid of something, you have to get out of your comfort zone in order to achieve your goals. She watched her father fail multiple times in castings and auditions and even gave up at one point.

His acting career was one of the reasons why she was so insecure about beginning a career in acting. However, she conquered her insecurities and was able to move forward with confidence. Recently she received an acting award named, The “Rising Star Award” at the San Diego International Film festival.

Being a Model Does Not Guarantee You to the Part!

The main thing she has trouble with her auditions is her look. When you’re an actress you should look like a girl next door and not an international fashion model. Especially if you want to play a role where a girl is bullied or a girl who makes the popular boy fall in love with you.

Nonetheless, Camila looks like a fashion model and her stunning looks are a little frustrating to her in auditions. However, her dedicated preparation has overcome those obstacles and has had some recent success in the acting industry.

Camila Morrone Death Wish Movie Poster

Camila Monroe has been in films such as “Death Wish,” where she played the role of Bruce Willis’s daughter, “Jordan Kersey” Directed by Eli Roth.

Recently, she worked on “Never Again.” This young actress has worked with the famous Maia Mitchell of “The Fosters,” who she has built a great friendship with. People describe Camila as a charismatic and energetic person who is immediately loved by everyone she meets.

In her last film “Mickey And The Bear,” she was compared to the Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. Her answer to that question was that she feels flattered to be compared to the talented actress and tries to stay humble with critics about her work.

Camila’s next role will be in a TV adaptation of the book “Daisy Jones & The Six ” based on a fictional rock band from the ‘70s. Camila recently said in an interview how lucky she feels for having the opportunity to choose the work she wants to do. Especially in an industry where it’s very hard to do both.

Camila Morrone on YouTube

One of the things that Camilia is famous for is her Youtube Channel. On her blog, she shares her healthy lifestyle, her favorite healthy food recipes, natural products, and tips on snacking right. Camila also produces makeup tutorials. Last year the young model/actress had a net worth of $2 Million.

Please accept statistics, marketing cookies to watch this video.

*We are guessing she no longer updates her channel since her last produced video was in December 2015. Latina Model Magazine will update you if she reboots the channel or shuts it down altogether.

Camila Morrone & Leo Di Caprio

At twenty-three years of age, Camila has had more success than many girls her age. As a model and actress, she has become a rising star. However, one thing she did not plan was to become famous for her relationship with Leonardo Di Caprio.

Camila Morrone met Leo thanks to her stepfather Al Pacino, who is a close friend of Leo. Camila has known Leo for almost ten years but only started dating him in 2017. The first time they were seen together was when they attended the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.

Aside from all the love they display for each other, they are often judged by the media for their age difference. She is just 23 years old, while Leo is in his mid-forties.

She’s been quoted as saying, “We deserve to love whomever we choose.” Latina Model Magazine agrees with Camila Morrone. You should be able to love whomever you choose, no matter their age difference. As long they are both adults, of course.

Ms. Morrone is well-known for her famous boyfriend Leo. Their age gap is a very popular talking point in the media. She is loved by Leo’s family and especially his mother. She wanted Camila as her daughter in law the moment she met her.

One thing we admire about Camila Morrone is that she doesn’t care about Leo’s fame as a successful actor. She has made it clear that she wants to have her own identity apart from her boyfriend.

We couldn’t be more proud of her. She has created her own success and fame, and that’s what many people don’t recognize. She is not just Leonardo Dicaprio’s girlfriend, she is a talented model and actress and deserves more recognition.

Camila Morrone’s Character

Camila loves nature and animals, she has gone as far as adopting an elephant named “Zongoloni.” Many times she has shared how much she prefers relaxing walks outside with nature rather than going to parties.

Also, she is a person that loves showing how she truly is with or without makeup on social media. Camila wants to show others that being who you are on the inside and outside is the key to success in life.

Camila has a strong mindset that does not pay attention to any media gossip on TV or on social media. Especially about her relationship with Leo. She is a young Latina with big goals doing her best in whatever she puts her mind to.

She carries herself with charisma and confidence. We are proud to say that she is one of our favorite Latina models and new upcoming actors.

Ms. Camalia Morrone is a great role model for all teenage girls who want to follow their dreams. She is a good example of how to be successful while staying humble.

Amazing Latinas JLo and Shakira Perform Super Bowl Halftime Show 2020 4 Feb 2020, 9:15 am

Amazing Latinas JLo and Shakira team up for the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The first two Latinas to perform a Super Bowl halftime show together. The show was amazing and the press/media reported it as the “Best Superbowl Halftime Show Ever!”

Latina Model Magazine will take you through both their journeys that begun from very humble beginnings. Then becoming two of the top entertainers in the world.

Latinas JLo and Shakira Take the Superbowl Stage

L atina Magic! Those two words come to mind when thinking of these two Latinas performing at the 2020 SuperBowl Halftime Show. With an estimated 100 million viewers, it’s arguably the most watched and anticipated event in the US and the globe.

These two Latina entertainers were the obvious best fit for the Superbowl held in Miami. A city where Latinos make up the majority of the population. So to have Shakira and JLo both iconic singers with their own individual flair fit perfectly,

You get what you give. What you put into things is what you get out of them.Jennefer Lopez

Most people recognize their names because they both have huge followings. Both their Instagram and Twitter accounts are well in the millions. And both have several hit songs/albums reaching platinum status.

But who are these two Latina pop stars? It would almost seem as if these women have been famous for as long as we can remember.

However, both of these talented Latinas came from humble beginnings. They also worked hard doing what they loved to do. They also didn’t let anyone tell them they couldn’t achieve their dreams. Although these individuals will share the limelight at the Superbowl, they are both very unique in their origins and journeys.

Latina Stars Are Born

J

Lo (full name- Jennifer Lynn Lopez) was born in New York City to Puerto Rican parents, Lupe & David Lopez. Her parents born and raised in Puerto Rico, met in New York where they settled to start their family.

This was a very different start compared to Shakira, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll. She was born in Barranquilla, Colombia to William Mebarak Chadid and Nidia del Carmen Ripoll Torrado. Her father William is of Lebanese ancestry and her mother Nidia is Colombian, giving Shakira the exotic middle eastern/Latin look.

Little Girls, Big Dreams

Shakira grew up in Colombia, while Jennifer Lopez grew up in The Bronx with a dream of being a superstar. At five, Jennifer took dance and singing lessons, not a fancy school like Julliard but it was a start.

JLo so blessed to have supportive parents who did not say no. She showed her parents how passionate she was and her parents believed in her.

You’re a song written by the hands of God.

Shakira

Shakira started her music career at eight years old. She wrote many songs very early and was encouraged by her father to be a songwriter like himself.

Even Shakira didn’t grow up in the U.S. like JLo, she enjoyed listening to popular American music. She liked Rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Cure, and Nirvana. Rock on!

Latinas JLo and Shakira Talented Early On

Shakira‘s love for Rock and roots in Arabic sounds gave her the foundation for the music she creates today. In efforts to teach her about her culture, her grandmother taught her how to belly dance. Shakira became really good at and used it to perform at local contests.

Similarly, JLo continued dancing throughout her childhood, she never stopped dancing. Even when taking classes to practice law, she knew dance was her calling. After making the decision to pursue dancing, her first major opportunity was for Fox as a “Fly Girl”.

JLo had a number of dance jobs but her most notable gig was from acting. She portrayed Selena Quintanilla in a movie about her life, the role made her more known to the public. However, JLo was not satisfied with being just an actress, she wanted more. She went on to release her first album “On The 6” which went platinum in 1999.

Latinas JLo and Shakira Prove Hard Work Pay’s Off!

At this time Jennifer was 30 years old while Shakira released her first album at 14 titled “Magic”. Although it wasn’t as popular as “On The 6” Shakira continued making music until she finally released her third album “Pies Descalzos” which went platinum in the U.S. when she was 18 years old.

While there’s quite an age difference in which both singers achieved their first platinum albums, it doesn’t take away from the talent they both must’ve had to gain such a title.

JLo’s debut album put her in the spotlight and got her nominated for several MTV music awards. Finally, her hard work was paying off! She continually practiced her many talents in show business and was proud of being a triple threat.

JLo’s love for dancing, singing, and acting made her win major awards in each category. Multiple movies came her way and was in demand with movie directors. She also worked some movies back to back.

Famous Jennifer Lopez Quote

JLo’s well-known movies include: “The Wedding Planner” (2001), and both “Enough” and “Maid in Manhattan” produced (2002). Both of these films were released at the same time too.

The following year came “Gigli” (2003) then “Jersey Girl” (2004) and “Monster in Law” in 2005. Whew! So many large movie productions one after another. Named The Highest Paid Latina Actor in Hollywood in 2003.

Shakira Fights for Her Success

In addition, Shakira dove into acting as a Colombian soap opera, known as “Novelas”. Acting for three years before leaving it behind in 1997 to pursue her music. This decision proved to be the right one. Her next album “Donde Estan Los Ladrones” became more successful than her previous one. It released in 1998 and while it did come out in a timely manner, it would’ve come out sooner had she not lost her songs.

Famous Shakira Quote

At the Bogota, Colombia airport she lost her suitcase that had all the songs she had written for the album! She felt panicked when she realized they were all gone.

Like any strong woman, she gathered herself and got back to work. She wrote more songs and was still able to meet the deadline for the album’s release date. Surprisingly her song from this album “Ojos Asi” gained the number one spot in the U.S. Billboard’s Latin Chart and stayed there for an impressive 11 weeks!

That’s nearly three months, at that time it sold over four million copies. Losing the suitcase was maybe a good thing. If she released those songs instead of who knows if they would’ve gained the traction they did.

JLo Takes Time for Motherhood

After JLo’s extensive movie releases, she took a break from it all in 2008 to focus on motherhood. Reminding her fans she’s human and needed and took time to herself. After all that hard work, who wouldn’t need a break?

She showed everyone that she could accomplish her dreams and still have time set aside for family. She gave birth to baby twins whose names are Max and Emme. Characters in one of her favorite childhood show “Dragon Tales”.

JLo Adapts to Her Body After Giving Birth

After giving birth she revealed her feelings towards her body. JLo stayed positive and proud of her body changing in weight and shape. She felt she earned her “jiggly belly” which is very different from most women think while pregnant. In Latin culture, it’s expected to have curves in all the right places and look beautiful all the same time especially more so for JLo.

Pregnancy can make you gain a lot of weight and in turn, a lot of women feel less beautiful. JLo often Tweets out a great “Body-Positive” messages. Telling her fans we should be proud of our bodies no matter how they look.

JLo Gets Her Body Back on Track

Six months after giving birth she entered a triathlon composed of swimming, cycling, and running. All in one race! She trained every day to get her body back in shape. Within a year of giving birth, JLo inspired women everywhere that they can do anything they set their minds to.

Shakira also had a similar mindset after giving birth to her son Milan in 2013. She dove right into work and did an amazing performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Bringing Brazillian flare, she entertained viewers and closed the event with an amazing show.

Two Journeys, One Stage

Both of these Latina women have had similar yet really different journeys. JLo’s being more centered around acting, and Shakira’s with singing. They both do Latina women around the world justice with their grace, strong roots, and beauty.

It doesn’t take much time to realize why they’ve both won awards for their talents. Their accomplishments are easy to see it’s their hard work that has carried them this far.

Their 2020 Superbowl successful performance is no different. These two Latinas will make all Latinas proud by doing the best they can on the world’s biggest stage.

We hope this post helped you learn more about these two talented & gifted Latina celebrities. If you enjoyed our fashion blog post please subscribe to our site or follow us on InstagramFacebook Pinterest or Twitter.

Latina Teen Model Alexa Pushes Hard to Achieve her Modeling Goals 30 Dec 2019, 3:27 pm

Latina Model Magazine has had a long working relationship with both Alexa Jackson’s mother & father, both of whom are incredible talents. That said the saying “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” can definitely be applied to Alexa.

Spotlighting Latina teen model Alexa was a no brainer for LM mag because of your youthful energy, early experience and of course the natural beauty she inherited from her parents.

Hi, my name is Alexa Jackson Latina teen model, I would like to share my early journey as a model with you. Although I am still very young, I would like to share where I am today and where I hope to be very soon.

Modeling for me has always been an influential part of my life. My ambition to succeed inspires me every day. Furthermore, it’s always been a goal of mine to produce beautiful artistic images that have the potential to look like works of art.

Alexa Jackson Beautiful Teen Model

If you are still looking for that one person who will change your life, take a look in the mirror.

Early Modeling Influences

My modeling began as a child. My mother (Melissa Jackson) and father (Stoney Jackson) were both in the modeling and entertainment fields, I naturally took an interest in both.

However, in my early teenage years, I gravitated more towards modeling like my mother. To me, modeling means so many things.

Advice from a Young Latina Model

I believe one needs to be more than just a “pretty face.” It’s best to have ambition, strength, self-confidence, including the ability to be able to work with all types of people and in all kinds of environments.

Therefore, you need to be open to new and different experiences regardless of what they may be. Also, you need to have a positive outlook and keep your spirits high, irrespective of the outcomes.

[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”15″ gal_title=”Alexa-Jackson”]

Put in time, effort, and energy to practice your craft, and most importantly, confidence to do everything with grace. “The world is your runway. Always stay confident- not cocky”- Chantelle Jackson Williams (ANTM).

Many do not fully understand what it takes to be a model.

M

y mindset on modeling has always been more of an artistic view than any other. Modeling as an art form can be an essential factor in the success of different arts to flourish. Modeling, in many instances, can be considered a vital piece of the puzzle to complete a grander view.

For example, as a model, most would like to believe that they are the center of attention. On some occasions, this may be true; however, I prefer to see it as a model, who is modeling someone’s designs, or hairstyles, makeup looks, photography styles, etc.

The point is that the model and the artistic work they are modeling should be working together and are just equally as important in the big picture.

Most of my modeling education comes from my own mother guiding me, through her own experiences, and a few of the beautiful people I have met in the industry.

Set Your Goals High

My goals are most definitely set high… but you have to start somewhere. I’m still just starting; however, I am very thankful for the opportunities I have had along the way, including the people I have had the chance to meet and work alongside.

Alexa Jackson Huntington Beach

So far, more recently, I have had the opportunity to work twice in LA Fashion Week, walking in “Ode to LAFW” and “Society Fashion Week,” for Marnett E’leion, and Angelica Curtis.

I have also had the opportunity to shoot with international Photographers, Dominic Petruzzi, Kim Kardashian’s “GlamMasters” with Stephanie Tear, “Victoria by Elizabeth,” and, of course, Latina Model Magazine, along with various other photographers, makeup artists, and stylists.

The Models I look up to

I have so many amazing models in the industry to look up to as heroes, I cannot pick just one. My favorites aside from my mother are Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk, Tyra Banks, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Barbara Palvin.

As far as who I “aspire to be like,” I aspire to be myself. Don’t get me wrong, it is always nice to be compared to other beautiful and hard-working models, but I’d personally like to be known for being myself and unique in one way or another. I prefer to make my own name and own it!

Elizabeth is a Latina Designer I Admire

One of the more recent designers I had the pleasure to work with closely was Elizabeth, from “Victoria By Elizabeth.“ She is so beautiful inside and out! Not only does it show through her personality, but through her vibrant and outgoing attractive designs.

Alexa Jackson Huntington Beach Pier Shoot
Happy, Grateful & Motivated!

Everything she does from her work on wardrobe and styling to the way she works alongside the rest of the “team, “whoever it may be.

An absolutely outstanding fashion designer!

This detail-oriented woman knows what she wants and is confident about her area of expertise. She creates gorgeous designs that work for all different types of beautiful, confident, and strong women.

Latina Model Aniuska Semprun from Venezuela Kills the Runway at Metropolitan Fashion Week 20 Dec 2019, 2:02 am

Latina Model Magazine is excited to highlight the beautiful Latina Model Aniuska Semprun from Venezuela. We were privileged to photograph Aniuska on the runway during the Metropolitan Fashion Week event in Los Angeles at the historical L.A. City Hall during Los Angeles Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020.

We reached out to this beautiful Latina Runway Model to ask if she could share her story with Latina Model Magazine, and she returned our email with a resounding YES!

Learn about the Latina Model Aniuska Semprun early successes and about some of the bumps she experienced along the way to becoming a very talented International Latina Model.

Aniuska Semprun Latina Fashion Model

How Her Modeling Dream Began

QWhat is your cultural background, and how would you describe yourself?

I come from a small city called Maracaibo in the beautiful country of Venezuela. I’m a tall, skinny girl who loves reading and participating in sports like karate. In addition, I love doing new things like learning foreign languages such as French and German. I describe myself as a daydreamer but also a persistent person.

QHow did you start modeling?

At twelve years old, my mother said it was time to take advantage of my height, therefore, she enrolled me in a modeling academy. Every young girl in Venezuela dreams of being a beauty queen and winning Miss Venezuela. That was my dream too at the time. Beauty pageants are everything in Venezuela.

I attended all the model academy classes; practiced my runway every day in the hallway of our small apartment in the city. Every Sunday, I went with a new outfit for my academy photo-shoots. I worked hard to produce good images.

I learned to know myself better and realized that my dream was (and is) to be a Top International Model.

When I arrived at my first casting; it was for a fashion show at a university in the city. I was extremely nervous. All my classmates from the academy were there. Little by little, I saw how they were all selected, all except me.

Latina Fashion Model Aniuska

How could I forget the academy’s professor who saw me crying, and ran to look for me? He told me that everything would be fine and that this was just the beginning of my career.

After that day, I received a call from the director of the academy telling me that a student from the university needed a model for a show. Without any hesitation, I met her to get measured for the outfits. She won the second-highest score in the fashion show (which was also an assessment.)

Having practiced continually. I watch videos of the best models in history, continuously evaluating myself in the mirror, and always finding ways to be better.

How Latina Model Aniuska Semprun Prepares & Motivates Herself to Succeed

Q How did you prepare for the castings, especially the big ones?

In preparation for castings, I take a sheet of white paper and some markers. I sit at the kitchen table and draw myself being cast and succeeding. Then I place the drawing in the center of my closet. The power of attraction and positive thinking has usually worked for me in the selection process.

Q How were you discovered?

When I was thirteen, I participated in one of the most well-known fashion shows in my city. While I was in the dressing room, a man saw me; he gave me his phone number and told me to call him any time.

I called him the following day, and he told me that a designer’s friend would be having a fashion show soon, and was looking for models. The designer’s name is Douglas Tapia.

Aniuska Semprun in Red Fashion Dress

Since I met Douglas, everything has changed rapidly. I have met extraordinary people from my country and the world. I have done numerous photoshoots that helped me improve (the catwalk has always been my forte).

Having the privilege of being sworn into the casting to select Miss Zulia’s candidates was an honor. The swearing-in is for a contest in my state to choose the Zuliana representative for the Miss Venezuela competition. That was an adventure. But the most important thing is that Douglas became part of my family.

Q Which has been your favorite fashion show?

I loved the fashion show I participated in the Dominican Republic, where I was fortunate enough to have walked for many designers. However, one label I enjoyed most was Benitos Santos. I love the cheerful and kind people of the Dominican Republic, and it’s a beautiful country!

The other fashion show I will never forget (my favorite) has been Douglas Tapia’s at the Metropolitan Fashion Week in Los Angeles. I loved every single detail of Los Angeles, California, especially Santa Monica.

The Struggles of a Model

Q What obstacles or difficulties have you had along the way?

I remember two years ago I doubted myself very much. Small streaks on my buttocks were appearing, and I thought that it would close thousands of doors in the world of modeling.

When I started to have my respective athlete body, the people in the industry, and those who were not all started to tell me what part of my body, I should reduce. I have always been an athlete, so the muscles in my arms and legs did not help the stereotype of a model in people’s minds.

Remembering the struggles with my weight and no matter how many times I went to the gym, I wasn’t able to reduce my weight sufficiently. The ladies of aesthetics argued over whether or not I should lose weight, not to mention I was barely fifteen years old.

I started having soup at dinner, drinking natural juices, vegetables, oatmeal, and eggs all the time. I became so obsessed with losing weight and pleasing others that I hadn’t realized that I was losing myself in my attempt to lose weight.

My short career as a model has been full of ups and downs. They have rejected me in some castings and accepted me in many. I have met people from all over the world, but more importantly, I learned more about myself along the way.

Q Have you ever felt caught between your country’s beauty stereotypes and the beauty stereotype of a model?

Mmm, good question. If I have to be honest, no. Its never been a problem not having curves or prominent attributes like my friends or any other female member of my family. However, it did become stressful, trying to be skinnier. I don’t feel proud of it but it was a learning experience.

What the Modeling Industry Means to Latina Model Aniuska Semprun

Q What supermodel do you admire, and why?

I admire thousands (laugh), but I much admire Gisele Bündchen. I admire her not only for what she does but also for her way of being and what she reflects. She is professional in everything she does, including being a successful businesswoman.

Gisele has never forgotten to help others, including her work with charitable organizations. Just look at her beautiful family, she’s done it all.

Q What are your future goals as a model?

Well, I have a million, but the conclusion is that I want to be an International Model. I want to travel the world and work doing what I love and feel passionate about.

My biggest aspirations are to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel. It would be a pleasure for me to work with a designer like Carolina Herrera, that’s a common dream for all the models. Still, it’s something I wish to do.

Q What do you like most about modeling?

When modeling or walking on the runway, I feel myself, my true self. By putting on a tight red dress, I can become the sexiest Latina Model Aniuska Semprun ever. When modeling jewelry, I am the most elegant version of myself. With every garment of clothing or accessory, comes to light a new and excellent version of me, which I sometimes do not recognize.

Q Do you have any advice for young models like you that want to start a career as a model?

At seventeen, I feel that I have lived many magical moments that will stay with me forever. If this is the world you want, never stop fighting for it because if you can dream it, it’s because you deserve it.

Lastly, find the right agency, practice your catwalk every day, and study the lives of the supermodels you admire. My advice always is to be yourself and never compare yourself to others. Believe in you and your talent!
