Eat Clean, Eat Leaf!

Embellish Your Holiday Spread: Impress friends and influence tastebuds 9 Dec 2101, 8:34 am

…by accenting your meals with Lemon Leaf signature dishes and dressings!

As the holiday season draws near and family members make plans to visit, the idea of preparing special meals can be daunting. Whether your concern is making enough food to feed everyone at the table or the sometimes daunting task of impressing in-laws, it always helps to have a trick or two up the sleeves of your proverbial chef’s coat. You might have some tips passed down over the years from tattered cookbooks and splattered recipe cards. And there are always new tips being shared on the internet about faster ways to peel potatoes, from pre-slicing skins to power tools.

With all of the preparation, sweat, and tears (hopefully over onions) that go into preparing food for family and friends, it’s nice to have a little help.

Need appetizers for your party?

We recommend easy finger foods like our Bruschetta (fresh Roma tomatoes, basil and garlic served with grilled bread) or Mediterranean Platter (hummus, tzatziki, olives, feta, dolmas, and roasted red peppers, served with grilled pita bread), to keep the dirty dishes at a minimum.

Want to add fresh salad to your menu, but don’t want the same old supermarket bag mix?

From our Signature Insalate Mista (mixed lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, Parmesan, toasted pine nuts, tossed in house vinaigrette)  to our customer favorite Cranberry Turkey Cobb (pictured above: lettuce greens tossed in our house cranberry poppy seed vinaigrette topped with rows of oven-roasted turkey breast, Gorgonzola cheese, egg, diced tomatoes, bacon, cranberries, and pecans), all of our salads are available in larger to-go tray sizes. Our dressings (and sauces) are also available individually, in 8 oz. and 16 oz. sizes.

And, of course, if you just need a night off, there’s always pizza.

Our gourmet pizzas can be ordered in their standard menu size or in a “cater-cut” style to-go tray, to keep those hungry family members happy.

From the Lemon Leaf family to yours, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Lemon Leaf Cafe: Celebrating Nine Years on the BLVD! 7 Nov 2015, 2:13 am

It’s our anniversary! Since November 6th, 2006, we’ve been committed to bringing our unique brand of fresh, clean food to the Antelope Valley by way of excellent service.

“Food brings people together,” said Maria Elena Grado, who loves to see the customers sitting at tables in her cozy cafe, enjoying the food, the atmosphere and good conversation. The Lemon Leaf is one place where you’re almost certain to see the town’s movers and shakers doing their power lunches on any given day. “This is a place for community,” Grado said. Indeed, if the opposing sides broke bread together, or maybe a barbecue chicken pizza, they’d probably forger all about the acrimony, at least for a while. In addition to catering, the restaurant has expanded to sell speciality imported items from Italy.  Grado encourages her staff to work together and act as leaders. Brian Gregg, for example started as a server, went to culinary school and then served as line chef. It’s the customers who give the staff plenty of opportunity to show their stuff. Please come by and visit sometime!
