How ProLove Ministries Blessed My Family 28 Jan 2020, 6:36 pm

My name is Megan and I am 27 years old and a single mother of four beautiful children. Nevaeh 7, Brayden 6, Layson 1 and Asher 2 weeks old. Being a single mother is a struggle especially when you do not get any support financially and physically, it can be stressful at times because I do not have any help from my children’s father, but I would not trade them for anything! My children are blessings to me and they motivate me each and every day to continue my self-growth as their mother also furthering my education and working full-time so that I am able to provide an abundant life for them and set a foundation for them. December 27, 2019 I gave birth to Asher via cesarean section. I have been on maternity leave since then and by the first of January my rent, water bill, power bill and WiFi was due. I was very stressed out and worried myself each moment of the day wondering how in the world was I going to come up the money to pay my bills so that me and my children don’t lose our house. I went to my local churches and resources seeking financial help for my bills and I did not have any luck. I prayed and asked the Lord to please send me and my children a blessing to help us with our needs. I decided to reach out on a Facebook group called Angel’s Helping Hand where a lady referred me to call the Loveline. That day I left a message regarding my situation and as soon as I ended the call I received a text message from the director asking me for a few things that she could look over and then she gave me a call. We talked for about an hour regarding everything that has been going on and my current situation and she assured me that Prolove ministries could help me and my children. Prolove ministries blessed my family beyond measure! I am so thankful for Prolove ministries helping me and my children

during this tough time, literally going above and beyond in helping us!! The director checks in on me and my children twice a week. I cannot express enough of the gratefulness I have for the blessing and possibilities they have made for me and my children! Because of Prolove ministries I am now able to take a deep breath and enjoy spending time with my children while I am taking my maternity leave. Thank you Prolove ministries, staff, and donors because of you, you made the impossible happen for my family!

“I reached out to LoveLine in desperation. That first call, I was so broken and sad. But you took the time to listen to me and you promised to help me.

I’ve been with my husband for 11 years and we have 5 children with another on the way. But he drinks…and he hits me. And I couldn’t take it anymore.

So I left him.

Leaving him meant leaving the only security I have known. I know some people don’t understand that – but you did! You didn’t judge me for not leaving sooner or having 6 children. You actually celebrated my decision with me. We made a plan together for my future and while it isn’t happening in an instant, it IS happening!

I have been living in the domestic violence shelter for three months with all of my children. My husband smashed my phone and slashed my tires, so those were two expenses that came up suddenly for me. You paid for my tires so I can have transportation and I had insurance, so I was able to pay my deductible and get a new phone. I’ve been paralyzed by fear so just making these decisions seemed impossible for me. Step by step, you’ve been here to guide me through it all – one decision at a time, being patient with me as I worked through my fears.

You’ve encouraged me to work with my local domestic violence coalition and I have a lawyer through legal aide. I have filed for divorce. I’ll never forget the day I went back to our house with the police to get some of our things to put in storage. He wasn’t home so I thought it was safe and I had the police with me. When I went in our closet, there it was. A handgun. It was as if I suddenly realized just how serious this is. There were liquor bottles all over the house. Seeing this was a reality check for me – like I was blinded to it before, but my eyes had suddenly been opened. It was confirmed. I’m making the right decision.

I also just got my letter from housing last week! WE’VE BEEN APPROVED FOR HOUSING IN ANOTHER CITY! You told me to hold on and keep doing what I can, and God would do what I can’t. You promised that you would work hard for me and encouraged me to work hard for me too.

I couldn’t believe that after all you have done you were also willing to provide Christmas for all my children. You were able to get ALL the things they wanted! It made us feel so loved. I don’t know what I would have done without your help. I just don’t know if I could have gone on…

I want to start off by saying how appreciative I am to all of you who helped me when I felt like there was no hope. I was in a really bad relationship with a man who had control of every aspect of my life. He is not the father of my children. Walking away, knowing I would be homeless with my 3 children was the scariest and hardest thing I had ever done. I had to make the difficult decision to leave my children with their father while I tried to get back on my feet.

 
A friend of mine told me about this wonderful organization. You all went above and beyond to help me get back on my feet. You helped me with my deposits and first month rent to ensure I could successfully make it on my own. You set up a registry to ensure I had everything from cleaning supplies to sheets, pillows, towels and so much more. You had all of that delivered to the amazing volunteers in my town who unpacked it, sorted it and then delivered it to my house! I’ve got new friends for life. I will forever be grateful to everyone involved in making this possible, not only did you give me hope but you gave me my children back. I hope one day I will have the opportunity to be in a position that I can help someone the way you all helped me!

When You Love First, REAL ABUNDANT LIFE Follows 5 Oct 2019, 2:26 am

We received an email from a woman in California. She was recently separated from her husband who has a substance abuse problem. She has 4 children with him and after the separation, found out she was pregnant with twins!

Not long after this she lost her job as a general manager of a restaurant. She found herself hopeless. She was desperately struggling with the needs of rent assistance, utilities paid, and food in her pantry. She applied for all of the public assistance that she could but had not heard back yet. She just needed a hand up. I called her and we talked for about 45 minutes.

I listened as she shared with me how she goes to a small church and she was a bit ashamed to go in and ask for help since she was getting a divorce. She had done her due diligence to obtain help but she was still short. We called several organizations in her area and found rent and utility assistance and even found another public assistance program that she had not applied for!

We raised money to pay one month’s rent and she applied for the assistance so she will be covered until the programs kick in. She was overjoyed and said that she has hope again and believes that she is going to make it.

We believe it too, because when you love first, REAL ABUNDANT LIFE follows!

An Amazing Journey 5 Oct 2019, 2:14 am

We saw a post on FB of a woman who was distraught because she had hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) – this is a complication of pregnancy that sends many women to the abortion clinic because of the severity of the symptoms.

We reached out to her through messenger and we began communicating and found out she was 20 weeks pregnant and didn’t even have a doctor! She had been to a few, but none of them would treat her HG because they weren’t familiar with it. So, first things first, we needed to get her some health insurance and a doctor.

She didn’t qualify for Medicaid, so we called a health share program called Solidarity Healthshare to find out if they could take her on at this stage of her pregnancy. They said YES! We raised the money to pay her deductible and a donor agreed to pay her premiums through her delivery!

We connected the donor with the client so they could work the details out. We contacted a NaPro doctor in her area and spoke with the billing department to ensure they could take her with Solidarity. The office explained the billing process to me so that we could explain it to her.

She got in! She’s well now – no more symptoms of HG! She has JOY again! AND we held an online baby shower for her and our supporters purchased everything she needed on her list! One of our volunteers received the items, unpacked them and then made sure they were wrapped and delivered to the location for her baby shower.

What an amazing journey we’ve been able to join her on!
