NISA Expo 2023 23 Oct 2023, 10:47 pm

Last week Monolith (UK) LTD participated in a successful Nisa Expo event which provided a fantastic opportunity to join together hundreds of retailers and suppliers again.

The two-day event took place on 17 and 18 October 2023 at Stoneleigh Park and saw the attendance of over 200 stands from brands across the food-to-go, chilled, frozen, grocery, licensed and non-food categories.

Monolith (UK) LTD presented its enhanced product range and inspired customers with the frozen range of new-ins and Christmas sweets. Special attention was paid to the chilled section and on the original cheese range. All retailers had the opportunity to learn about our bestsellers, hear about our future plans, and be inspired by the latest format which can drive additional footfall to their stores.

This year was particularly special for Nisa by creating a refreshed Nisa village format. It included a development area with various zones to help and inspire customers in developing their store, space planning zones and the opportunity to discuss fascia options, design advice and more.

There were several industry sessions led by the event’s sponsors throughout the two days, with a focus on what is happening in convenience, how to grow specific categories and the benefit of the own brand in-store. A ‘Women in Retail’ panel proved to be a popular session, with over 50 attendees hearing from five female retail experts.

We were happy to meet a lot of new retailers and lots of existing customers providing great feedback on the value we’re creating for them.

Thank you, Nisa, it was a fabulous Expo and the superb “Alice in Wonderland”-themed gala dinner!

Summer Party, 2023 8 Jul 2023, 11:41 pm

SUMMER PARTY 2023

IMG_3946

Hooray, it’s summer time, which means that we, at Monolith, are celebrating our annual Summer Party.

This year we had delightful and memorable days celebrating and enjoying the long-awaited party and sunny season.
Our Summer Adventure started with a visit to one of the most famous castles in the country – Warwick Castle. It was originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068 and has since been owned by various noble families. The castle has witnessed numerous battles, sieges, and renovations throughout its history. We also visited the Castle towers, battlements, and interior rooms and got a sense of medieval life.
Later, afternoon we headed to explore the incredible and spectacular routes of Peak District National Park – a place of wild peaks and rugged moorland with views that stretch forever. Along with fresh forest air and countryside hidden gems, we added to our walking adventure a sense of achievement. We were divided into 4 groups and participated in the challenging quiz. Each group had to find a certain object or place in the forest and share a photo with our guide. In exchange for the correct photo, we received one letter and at the end, we had to guess the correct word. Further, we arrived at our camp field and under sunset constructed our tent. The party lasted all night and many of us managed to meet sunshine.
The second day started with kung-fu gymnastics and a hot burger breakfast and after we departed to explore the beauty of Cromford’s magnificent caves and Black Rocks climbing.

End of the day we all felt happy and satisfied for the time spent together. This summer party and adventures created an enjoyable experience that brings our team members closer together and strengthened our professional relationships.

We want to thank everyone involved and everyone who made the two summer days remarkable.

See you next year.

Sales Team Meeting, 2023 5 Jun 2023, 12:35 am

SALES TEAM MEETING 2023

At the end of the May our Sales Team met together in our Dagenham Office to discuss strategies, goals and updates related to sales activity. More than 50 colleagues shared their progress, challenges, and successes in their sales efforts.

Continuing with our commitment to continuous improvement, we implemented a new sales training program for staff who joined our team recently. The first part of the meeting we reviewed our “Big Book of Opportunities” – our Big Summer Catalogue for the upcoming quarter. The Marketing Team introduced us a presentation about our catalogue, how it was made, who is involved in creation and engaging facts about structure and product range. We made our catalogue user friendly so everyone can easily navigate and find the category or interested product. But the process of buying and listing the products for the food retailers can be confusing and hard. A lot of new products from all over the world are available today in the UK’s market, and we are the few companies offering unique service to our clients, weekly visiting them, placing face-to-face orders, share valuable information about our range, about new products and countries which are on demand based on the area of their business. Because client’s satisfaction is a top priority for us, we are offering next day delivery to the most of our clients.

At the second part of the meeting was also expected by all our members because we were tasting and reviewing our new-in products and the products scheduled for launch next months. The Marketing Team in cooperation with Purchase Department prepared and provided with an overview of the product’s features, target market, and competitive advantages.
Every product was described and divided by category, country of origin, product value and three Key benefits. Was also provided shelf life, cooking instruction and merchandise advise. We’d also discussed the sales strategy and went over the support materials that will be available to help us effectively promote the products. Special branded bags of tasty surprises was also prepared for all attendants to discover full products potential to keep everyone motivated.

Finally, everyone had an opportunity to bring up any other topics or questions they had. We heard and discussed questions related to our sales process, tools, or challenges we’d encountered.
Thank you all for your commitment and dedication. It was a productive meeting, with a lot of insights and teamwork for achieving our sales goals.

Located in the heart of IFE, this area was a hive of activity as it creates an immersive experience for buyers to sample new-to-market products, meet the faces behind the brands, and network with new, upcoming suppliers.

This year our stand was full of people from around the world. Buyers and decision-makers across the whole industry, from grocery, wholesale and specialty retail to food service and manufacturing, were invited to uncover the hottest trends and latest product launches. The real interest across the visitors was our refreshed range. To promote and explain product advantages we bring with us our Buyers Team. We are really proud that our buyers are living or born in the country which they are responsible for. They know the key manufacturers, are familiar with the latest trends and changes, and like no one else knows everything about their country’s tastes and preferences.

Our stand was different from others – live communication, tastings, free product samples, and beautiful wishes from visitors gave us strength and made our days. And 4 huge air balloons symbolizing quality, advantage, benefit, and our love for what we all do together.
Expo highlights and features which attracted people from all corners to us were 4 red huge air balloons, symbolizing quality, advantages, benefits and our love for what we all do together.

Three days passed like one, but we were proud to show all our best features, products, service and love.
See you next year.
