2015 Sportfishing Season has Begun 28 Jun 2015, 2:46 pm

We are very happy to report that the sport fishing season for 2015 has officially begun here in Hyannis on Cape Cod.  We have had many trips already, and we have been catching striper at full capacity.  We are booking up fast for July and August, please call us today to reserve your trip to get the time and date you want.  The BIG fish are here!

LOOKING BACK AT 2013 2 Jan 2014, 6:04 pm

It is funny how every year seems to go by a little faster than the previous. With that being said here is my

summary:

Bluefin tuna – with the exception of a short lived slow spell in july, It started my first tuna charter June 10th

with a 300 lber, and kept up right to the end for us which amazingly just ended right before Christmas!!

Striped Bass- as to be expected it was another great year with many, many trips surpassing the 50 fish mark in

a short period of time, and most charters had the chance at them t0 30 + lbs.

  Sea Bass & Scup- As usual the kick off in May brought abundances of  jumbo sea bass and large scup which never let off till it closed.

Sharks-  these toothy critters should no lack of  presence. Many days seeing more than a dozen and a nice mako usually in the mix of up to 300 lbs., made these offshore trips some of the most popular.

 I am excited to introduce into Predatuna Sportfishing, our second boat,  Lilly J, named after my daughter Lilly. It is a 30′ twin turbo diesel sportfish.  With a completely new electronics package fitted into it, and a complete restoration on it. Making it now not only one of the fastest boats in the fleet, but one of the more updated and comfortable boats you will be on aside from its partner boat the Predatuna itself. Built as a charter boat exclusively, It is outfitted with all the comforts as it should just like its partner boat.  A cabin including a private head, and bunks as well as seating for six in the wheel house and a large cockpit for fishing comfort. Look foward to making awesome and unforgettable trips for our clients aboard this boat, just as the Predatuna has and will continue to do!!!!

Spring welcomes the fish 12 Apr 2012, 12:20 pm

With the arrival of what feels like an early spring on Cape Cod comes the arrival of our fishing season. We are now in full swing with the start of our charter fishing season up on stellwagen bank for the entire month of April, including codfish, haddock, and pollock. There are still some good days open in our schedule this month for any group wanting to experience what Stellwagen bank is all about!!!

With the start of our season right around the corner (April 15th), I am looking foward to another awesome, and memorable year to eventually once again put in the history books. With the past two months spent painting, cleaning, preventitive maintence, and repairing fishing gear, the  “Predatuna” is once again ready and waiting to start taking  people to some of the best fishing destinations and give the customers a trip of a lifetime!!

SPRING COD FISHING

April proved to start out our season with some of the best cod fishing I have seen in twenty years.Amazingly  some of it took place in less than 80 feet of water!! Offering our clients a mixed bounty of not only huge cod, but all the monstorous pollock you wanted at times…

SCUP, SEA BASS, TAUTOUGS (A.K.A BLACKFISH)

As we shifted gears in May back to nantucket sound for our bottom fishing, it was nothing short of good weather, and exceptional fishing. With rides of less than 4 miles to the fishing grounds.

STRIPED BASS

As we started the end of May for stripers, they proved to be really hungry, which was great for us. Most of our trips we found were limiting out pretty quick!! They stayed consistent right into october. With many of fish this year pushing 30 lbs.  and a respectable number number in the 40 lb. range.

TUNA & SHARKS
This year proved to be a great year for tuna fishing. As it started to get good in early June we were reluctant to have some good trips in the 60-200lb. class of fish. With one of the groups reluctantly pulling one out 400lbs.!!! Lots of sushi!! Shark fishing as well was great with at least a mako almost every trip, some times more, and all the blue sharks you could catch.

If we can repeat 2011 in 2012 we are once again looking at a unforgettable fishing year and i my self am starting to really look foward to it.Thanks everybody for a great year.

Fall Bottom Fishing is in Peak Season! 6 Oct 2011, 9:40 am

We are primarily fishing for black sea bass this time of year, and the fishing has been really good. Tuna fishing is also in full swing…two weeks ago we landed a 660lb. Blue Fin Tuna. Check out some of the pictures from this season…it was our best yet!

July 25th – Fishing with the Girls 25 Jul 2011, 6:07 am

Sportfishing aboard the Predatuna, not just for the boys!  We have had some great  fishing trips these past few weeks, including trips with girls.  It is nice to see some feminine spirit out on the waters.
