Mississippi State Wins 2021 College World Series 1 Jul 2021, 5:23 pm

Every now and then an upset happens to to make college sporting events exciting.  Since 1985 Mississippi State has been in the running and finally the magic happened.  The Bulldogs scored early and built on their lead, and at the end they were in a dogpile celebrating a 9-0 victory over Vanderbilt in the deciding third game of the College World Series finals Wednesday night.  What a night for Mississipi Stae fans!  The win by the Mississippi State Bulldogs marks the first time in school history any team has won a national championship.

2020-21 National College Football Champs 11 Mar 2021, 10:10 pm

Alabama won the National Championship against Ohio State Monday night. 52 – 24.   Not only did they win, records were set.  Were you watching?!

Head Coach Nick Saban surpassed the legendary Hall of Fame Coach Bear Bryant with seven (7) championships for Alabama.

Wide Receiver DeVonta Smith for Alabama won the Heisman Trophy for 2020.  He recorded 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns, with the highest points out of all three (3) of Alabama’s Heisman Trophy winners.

Running Back Najee Harris, Alabama’s No. 1 recruit – yes, the one that hurdled Notre Dame’s Cornerback Nick McCloud seamlessly – wrapped up the season with a total of 30 touchdowns. He broke former Running Back and 2015 Heisman Trophy Winner Derrick Henry’s record of 28 touchdowns from 2015, which was then the best mark in SEC history. Now Harris is the SEC’s single-season record holder in total rushing and receiving touchdowns.

Championship Face-Off 3 Mar 2021, 1:25 am

Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide Face-Off

Ohio State’s Quarterback, Justin Fields, was injured during the semifinal game with Clemson last week and went down.  His injuries remain undisclosed. Despite that, Ohio State beat Clemson, 48-28.  Justin Fields, who threw six (6) touchdowns during that game, told Head Coach Ryan Day the next day that he felt better than expected.  He is expected to continue playing in the upcoming National Championship game.

Quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama is one of the best in the country.  Alabama won against Notre Dame in last week’s Rose Bowl, 31-14.  During a touchdown attempt, Running Back Najee Harris jumped over a Notre Dame defender, Nick McCloud, when running the ball.  While Harris did not make the touchdown, he completely hurdled over McCloud by almost 6 feet!  It was a move people are still talking about.  Check it out for yourself in case you missed it:
