Winston & Cashatt is proud to announce that Christine Vogel has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Christine’s practice focuses on civil litigation, family law and real estate & property.
Prior to moving to Spokane, Christine attended law school and practiced law in Buffalo, NY. In Buffalo she gained tremendous and diverse legal experience practicing in both private practice as a trial attorney and at a not-for-profit representing clients in a wide array of civil legal matters.
Shortly after relocating to Spokane, she was asked to serve on the State Board of Washington Women Lawyers (WWL) where she also serves as Co-VP of the Governmental Affairs Committee. She also serves as the State liaison for the WWL Spokane Chapter.
In her spare time Christine enjoys paddle boarding on Lake Coeur d'Alene and Bead Lake, snowshoeing, hiking, or spending time with her cat in a sunny spot with a good book.

Winston & Cashatt is proud to announce that Zachary M. Walls has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Zachary’s practice focuses on business & corporate, civil litigation, construction, family law and real estate & property.
A native of Seattle, Zach relocated to Spokane in 2017 to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Gonzaga University. His passion for the law led him to continue his education at Gonzaga University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2024.
During his time at Gonzaga Law, Zach was the Executive Editor of the Gonzaga Journal of International Law and served as a Smithmoore P. Myers Teaching Fellow. His hands-on experience includes internships with civil litigation firms in Spokane and Williston, North Dakota, as well as the City of Spokane Attorney’s Office.
Away from the office, Zach enjoys exploring the Inland Northwest, cheering on Gonzaga Basketball and the Seattle Mariners, and working on his golf game at Spokane’s beautiful courses.

Spokane, Wash. – Dalton Reynolds and Courtney Whitten have been named principals at Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers.

Dalton Reynolds joined Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers in 2020 and focuses his practice on real estate litigation and transactions, commercial and business litigation, and business transactions. Prior to joining Winston & Cashatt, Mr. Reynolds’ experience included all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution, as well as commercial real estate transactional work. Mr. Reynolds developed his passion for litigation during law school where he worked as an extern clerk for Judge Rosanna Malouf Peterson. Dalton grew up in Western Washington at the base of Mt. Rainier. He came to Eastern Washington when he attended Washington State University. Dalton graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2018. He was admitted into practice in Washington in 2018 and Idaho in 2022. When away from the office, Dalton enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and WSU football.

Courtney Whitten joined Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers in 2022 and focuses her practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on land use and real property. Prior to joining Winston & Cashatt, she worked as both a prosecutor and public defender, including misdemeanors, juvenile cases, and felonies, where she gained a wealth of experience in the courtroom. Ms. Whitten’s quality of work and dedication to public service have been recognized through awards and scholarships, including the Washington Young Lawyers Committee Public Service and Leadership Award for 2020. Having grown up in Spokane, Ms. Whitten attended the University of Washington prior to returning home for law school. In addition to graduating magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, she interned at local law firms where she began her work in civil litigation. She was admitted into practice in Washington in 2017 and Idaho in 2019. In her spare time, Ms. Whitten spends time with her family, which includes a ten-month old daughter, and helps with her family's cattle ranch in Cheney, Washington.

Winston & Cashatt is proud to announce that Kenneth A. Thompson has joined the firm as an associate attorney. Ken’s practice focuses on civil litigation and real estate.
He is a graduate of the American University, Washington D.C., College of Law. As a student, he gained courtroom experience through the school’s Criminal Justice Clinic representing defendants and later as a prosecutor in Prince George’s County, Maryland. His coursework focused heavily on the Constitution and Administrative Law.
After graduating in 2004, he pursued a career coaching soccer at the club and collegiate levels, including over 10 years as the Head Coach of the North Idaho College Men’s Soccer Program. While at NIC, he also taught as Adjunct Faculty in the Political Science and English Departments and served on committees concerning facility development, college governance, academic success, and Title IX.
Ken grew up in Coeur d’Alene and competed for dominant soccer teams at Coeur d’Alene High School, Seattle Pacific University, and Gonzaga University. Outside the office, he enjoys running and biking with his family and friends.

Originally a Seattle native, Christine moved to Spokane in 2013 to study criminal justice, psychology, and sociology at Gonzaga University. She graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in August 2021, served as Vice President of the Gonzaga Public Interest Law Project and received the Platinum Pro Bono Distinction. During law school, Christine worked for the Spokane County Public Defenders Office and the Spokane City Public Defenders Office’s Community Court program. Prior to joining Winston & Cashatt, she worked for a firm handling both criminal defense and civil litigation, with an emphasis on civil rights. In her spare time, Christine enjoys hiking and exploring with her partner, three dogs, and two cats; strongman training; and knitting.

A Spokane local, Courtney attended the University of Washington prior to returning home for law school. In addition to graduating Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University School of Law, she served as an Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review, Vice President and Interim President of the Student Bar Association, and President of the William O. Douglas Committee. Courtney was admitted to the bar in 2017 and has practiced in the Spokane area since that time. Courtney's quality of work and dedication to public service have been recognized through awards and scholarships, including the Washington Young Lawyers Committee Public Service and Leadership Award for 2020.
