“The last Mediterranean paradise” is an expression used often to describe Formentera Island in the Balearics and it is what pushed the Italian owner of this beautiful, luxury villa, to focus her search for her new holiday bolthole, in this pristine island with famous beaches. It was love at first sight when she visited the plot; it had it all. Uninterrupted views, large spaces, mature vegetation and the fact that, being in the centre of the island, it is ideally located to reach out to the best that Formentera has to offer. Due to the persistence of her visiting friends, what she envisioned as a cosy and small villa soon turned to be a larger project, as she realised that Formentera is all about being social and that true luxury villas with a convivial atmosphere, were scarce. Two years later, a true gem materialized; an unpretentious yet stylish villa, whose traditional cubic volumes reflect the bright light of Formentera. The owner was responsible for furnishing this villa with an aura of coolness, enhanced by the simplicity of pure linen fabrics and luxurious understated details, craved by the cosmopolitan bohos and bobos alike.
