This year at IDEA22, Chase showcased our Festooning technology which is the process of layering woven and nonwoven materials into boxes rather than the conventional method of spooling. Festooning offers several advantages over spooling such as the elimination of tension so the material is not compressed, maximized space utilization for shipping, and the ability to splice from one box to another so transfers to feed downstream processes can be accomplished without the need for expensive equipment.
Chase also demonstrated our FS-90 Ultrasonic welding equipment utilized for splicing or bonding woven and nonwoven synthetic materials.
