It can feel overwhelming to try to find a custom solution to a unique problem. Specific challenges often can’t be addressed with an out-of-the box product. The process of figuring out a solution to a unique or challenging problem is a collaboration between Electrone and our clients. 

What do we need from you?

It starts out with a non-technical dialogue, to outline the specific need or problem and the expected outcome. We’ll work with our team to start to propose some potential solutions, consulting with you along the way. Of course we’ll keep technical and logistical barriers in mind, and consider all aspects of the project. Once we come up with an idea that we all agree might meet your needs, we’ll put together a summary and price for the proposed project. Then it’s time to get down to technical details.

What technical details do we need?

We’ll need specific details of your starting point. If detailed drawings don’t exist, we can guide you in finding the information we need. We can put together technical specifications and make sure that the proposed solution meets them. 

How long will it take?

The design and proposal process for a very simple project could be as little as two weeks; a more complex project may require more time. Any production required is not included in these estimates.

When does formal commitment happen?

Once you’ve received our proposed solution and pricing, it’ll be time for you to decide if you want to move forward. 

How is pricing determined?

Pricing depends on the project of course, but also on how much we take on. This depends on the number of disciplines involved (mechanical, electrical, software). Typically custom projects span more than one discipline.

Two factories, in different countries, making similar products. How can you monitor productivity over long distances? Our 735 PoE will do it for you! This keypad will not just communicate directly with a local operator; it can also communicate over the internet so information can be gathered remotely from a single central location.

Information gathered can be sent over the network, internet, or VPN to a host application that arranges the information into reports. That information can trigger communications with necessary staff for reporting or maintenance. Data can be timestamped, and is constantly monitored for immediate response.

We will work with you to configure the keypads and create the app needed for communication with multiple remote locations. Your app can also send instructions to the display of any specific keypad for the local operator. 

Keypads can be customized to include a serial port. This can allow for connection to local printers, magnetic stripe card readers, etc. We can help customize your keypad network to your unique company needs.

Electrone Americas Releases Touch Free Printer For Hygenic Labelling in Contamination-Sensitive Environments 12 Sep 2018, 4:24 pm

Practical labelling in commercial kitchens and laboratories requires clear and specific recording of date information. Handwriting can be illegible, writing implements can become vectors of contamination, and labels can be overlooked by busy staff managing time constraints. The new Wave and Print label printing system is designed to address these barriers to hygenic storage.

A simple wave prints a correct-to-the-minute adhesive label for use in commercial kitchens, laboratories, or wherever else time and date need to be captured. Labels can be customized according to customer need, including size and content. The printer is entirely self-contained and does not require a computer or internet connection. The printer and keypad are powered by a single plug-in power supply.

Getting started with PiCamera module with your Raspberry Pi 27 Mar 2017, 10:20 pm

Do you use your Raspberry Pi to take pictures or Recording videos? Now, you will be able to do just that using the PiCamera module.

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module is a custom designed add-on for Raspberry Pi. It attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of one of the two small sockets on the board upper surface.

Picamera description

Connect the Camera Module:

  • First of all, your Pi must be switched off. Then connect the Camera module in the socket as shown in the next image.

  • Start Up the Pi.
  • Select “ Preferences” from the main menu on the upper left side of the Desktop, then select “Raspberry Pi Configuration Tool”.

  • Now, We will make sure that the Camera software is Enabled, and If not choose Enabled then click “OK” and REBOOT your PI.

Preview your Camera

After your camera is connected and your software is enabled and rebooting the Pi, you can get started by trying out the camera preview.

  1. Open Python 3 from the main menu

  1. Open a new file and save it as py . It’s important that you do not save it as picamera.py .

3. Enter the following code:

  1. Save with Ctrl + S and run with F5. The camera preview should be shown for 10 seconds, and then close. Move the camera around to preview what the camera sees.

NOTE:

the camera preview only works when a monitor is connected to the Pi, so remote access (such as SSH and VNC) will not allow you to see the camera preview.

 

Take a Picture

  • Open a new file or edit the previous one to be like this code:-

It’s important to sleep for at least 2 seconds before capturing, to give the sensor time to set its light levels.

  • Run the code and you’ll see the camera preview open for 5 seconds before capturing a still picture. You’ll see the preview adjust to a different resolution momentarily as the picture is taken.
  • You’ll see your photo on the Desktop. Double-click the file icon to open.

Recording a Video

  • We can make a simple modification to the previous code to record a video to be like this:-

  • Run the code; it will record 10 seconds of video and then close the preview.
  • To play the video, Open the terminal window and Type the following command and press Enter to play the video:
