HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (April 11, 2025) – Fans coming to the 2025 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing can get a real taste of the event. Scottie Scheffler’s “Defending Champion Burger” will be the star attraction at Fraser’s Tavern at the Pavilion, located at the Halfway House area at the Harbour Town Clubhouse adjacent to the 10th tee. It features a triple-blend beef patty with applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, fried onions and jalapeños, plus Old Bay aioli. It’s certain to be as popular with patrons as the well-liked champion is himself.

The special satellite location of Fraser’s Tavern will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 15 through Sunday, April 20. Other prize-winning entrees will include the restaurant’s signature smokehouse favorites, grab-and-go entrées, and lighter options. The limited-edition gnomes will be sold in the tournament’s main merchandise tent, starting Saturday, April 12. The gnome is 12 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide, and comes in a commemorative box. The Pinery Country Club Completes Multi-Million-Dollar Transformation 3 Apr 2025, 8:06 pm

Denver-area private club dramatically enhances member experience

DALLAS (April 3, 2025) The Pinery Country Club, one of the Denver area’s most desirable private golf and lifestyle clubs, has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation. With a bold new re-imagining, the expansive clubhouse now showcases a dramatic openness throughout and delivers an environment where unforgettable memories with family and friends can occur.

The Pinery Country Club is owned by Arcis Golf, a premier operator of nearly 70 private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States. Throughout its portfolio, Arcis Golf has invested more than $125 million in the past four years on property upgrades, new amenities, personnel, training, and systems to create extraordinary lifestyle experiences and forge and foster relationships with members and guests.

The recent transformation at The Pinery Country Club — located in Parker, Colo., just 25 miles from downtown Denver— prioritizes connectivity of space and among members. Through the creation of an open clubhouse flow, members now enjoy an enhanced experience that fosters a warm, social club culture.  The fireplace lounge flows to the bar, allowing members to gather spontaneously over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The dining rooms are furnished with custom banquette seating and trestle-style farm tables, offering unincumbered sunset views of the Mountain Course’s ninth hole.

“The Pinery is known as a thriving, family-centric club,” said Blake Walker, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Arcis Golf. “We wanted to provide each family member with additional opportunities to engage and connect with others. The airier, open clubhouse design accomplishes this by promoting greater interaction and providing additional spaces to relax and create new memories.”

New interiors lean into the clubhouse’s Craftsman architectural style by highlighting textures and colors from nature, like warm, rich oak and Alder, natural stonework, and a palette inspired by regional flora. Elements of the design celebrate the genre’s historical roots, incorporating patterned wallpapers and textiles by William Morris, whose designs heavily influenced the American Craftsman style, and utilizing woodworking motifs of the early twentieth century, as in the case of the foyer focal table, custom made by local craftsmen using classic mortise-and-tenon joinery.

The outdoor patio has been renovated as an extension of the main dining room, with seating for 100 guests. There’s more room throughout the clubhouse, including at the newly transformed Golfer’s Grill. Known by some as the “The Prohibition Room,” the space pays homage to Colorado’s “spirited” past, telling the story of how the bootleggers’ rebellion led to the repeal of Prohibition and developed an early foundation for the brewing culture the region is lauded for today.

The club’s private events room, located near the main bar and dining room, also received an upgrade with luxurious velvet draperies, boldly patterned wallpaper, and walnut and leather light fixtures.

The passion of The Pinery culinary team is evidenced by their commitment to partnering with local farms, regional ranches, artisanal bakeries, and craft distillers, as well as their use of sustainable seafood. The ever-changing lunch and dinner menus feature small plates, salads, health-conscious choices, flatbreads, sides, sandwiches, and entrees, highlighted by favorites such as Rocky Mountain Trout and Colorado Chicken. The drink menu offers local microbrews, of course, as well as specialty cocktails and distinctive wines. The bustling social activities calendar spotlights special culinary events such as Fiesta Tuesdays, Italian Night Wednesdays, Tuscan wine dinners, and regular family-focused activities.

The makeover of the Pro Shop has created a more stylish and functional space for golf enthusiasts, complete with an upgraded shopping experience and the introduction of new high-end brands.

Catering to the family-friendly nature of the club, a robust calendar of social events is offered for all age groups—from youth to grandparents. The recent additions of Trivia Night (for adults), Movie Night (for kids), Spa Days, and Kids Club activities have been well received.

The Pinery’s other amenities include 27 holes of championship golf, supported by an expansive golf practice facility and golf instruction programs for all levels and ages. Members also benefit from an award-winning tennis facility featuring six outdoor courts and three indoor courts, a fitness center, and a recently renovated aquatics center with three swimming pools.

Arcis Golf “Summit” members receive dual membership at The Pinery Country Club and its sister club, The Club at Pradera, located just three miles away. The Summit two-club program provides access to golf courses, clubhouses, restaurants, swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and fitness centers at both properties.

Both The Pinery and Pradera are prior honorees of the CAGGY Awards presented by Colorado AvidGolfer, which honors the state’s best golf courses, clubs, and instructors. The annual awards are based on online voting by more than 5,000 of the publication’s readers.

An industry leader in providing inventive programming and unrivaled lifestyle amenities that complement exceptional golf offerings, Arcis Golf has received numerous honors, including a National Golf Foundation “2025 Top 100 Businesses in Golf.”

ESSĒ at Reynolds Lake Oconee Wins Golden Fork Award 31 Mar 2025, 6:23 pm

Signature Restaurant of The Landing Community Shines

Greensboro, Ga. (Mar. 31, 2025) – ESSĒ, the signature restaurant of The Landing community at Reynolds Lake Oconee, has received second place in the remodeled private food and beverage facility category of the 2025 Golden Fork competition. Golf Inc. Magazine features this stunning venue in the March/April 2025 issue.

ESSĒ (es-see), derived from the Latin meaning “to be,” celebrates food and gathering moments as the essence of good living in this vibrant community.

The vision was to modernize and create an updated space that would appeal to the new generation of Members and their guests and remain welcoming to all patrons. This new gathering and dining atmosphere is totally different from any others currently existing in the golf resort community and has proven to be extremely popular.

Additionally, the veranda—accessible from the dining room or a new outdoor staircase—offers al fresco dining opportunities as well as beautiful wooded and water views of the golf course.

A welcoming, octagonal central bar and vaulted ceilings immediately draw guests into the airy space, which is crowned by a stunning overhead light fixture of blown glass spheres. The Blue Roma Quartzite bar top has beautiful rust veins that add to the drama of this space and tie in beautifully with the burnt orange and rust upholstery of the new furniture.

Dark wood arches were added to the soaring vaulted ceiling running through the center of the space to create a sense of grandeur and to help connect the front bar scene to the dining space in the back of the restaurant.

Complementing the relaxed, sophisticated vibe is a menu that delivers a level of excitement and energy to the ESSĒ culinary experience. It’s ingredient-driven and features a wide variety of offerings— fresh seasonal greens, fish, and vegetables. The menu has evolved and continually changes with the seasons but remains as eclectic and interesting as the interiors themselves.  Instant favorites include the Wagyu Beef Sliders, Szechuan Sautéed Shrimp, Pan-Seared Red Grouper, and Roast Beef Prime Rib.

FOUR BRIDGES COUNTRY CLUB UNVEILS IMPRESSIVE, MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR TRANSFORMATION 31 Mar 2025, 6:21 pm

Family Focus and Robust Lifestyle Amenities are the Hallmarks of Cincinnati-Area Private Club

DALLAS (March 31, 2025) – The multimillion-dollar renovation of Four Bridges Country Club is complete, and with it one of the most desirable clubs in the greater Cincinnati-area has taken a major step forward. Arcis Golf — the second largest owner and operator of nearly 70 private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States — transformed nearly every aspect of the prestigious club’s infrastructure and amenities.

“The great thing about Four Bridges is that it’s more than a club: It’s the centerpiece of a tight-knit community,” said Blake Walker, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Dallas-based Arcis Golf. “We were thrilled to give the membership even more reasons to embrace their club, including one of the most robust amenity packages in the market. Members now have even more opportunities to connect, enjoy, and experience the best in private club living.”

The clubhouse, which is the heart of this family-oriented club, has been re-imagined with a new open-concept design offering multiple gathering and conversation areas, a large bar, and an expanded outdoor veranda. A grand, double-sided interior fireplace serves as a focal point, while high ceilings and expansive windows make the most of panoramic views of the surrounding golf course.

Beyond the fireplace is the all-new Grille Room & Bar, full of natural light, fresh colors, and an antique mirrored ceiling that enhances the bold, bright atmosphere. Dining tables are arranged around a new 18-seat bar that serves as the hub and heartbeat of the primary dining space. Two easily accessible and intimate dining spaces, plus the adjacent patio, are perfect for private parties, meetings, or other special events.

Guests will find a variety of new seating in the Foyer, nestled between the Wine Tasting Cellar and the stone fireplace. Other social spaces include a members-only Bourbon Bar & Lounge with rich, leather seating, a full-service bar, and special “speakeasy” entry: No password necessary, but inside aficionados will enjoy a selection of cocktails, including smoked drinks, and warm, golden lighting.  The smoked old-fashioned has proven to be a member favorite thus far and the club’s extensive bourbon menu is being regularly updated with new releases.

The patio overlooks the golf course’s 9th and 18th holes and is set up for dining underneath a motorizedpergola system. The patio, which has more than doubled in size, also features an outdoor grill station and a variety of seating choices, making it ideal for beautiful days as well as wine dinners, holiday events, and large party celebrations. Three new fire pit pods, cut into the landscape, allow members to soak up breathtaking sunsets.

All the menus have been updated with new options – from shareables to popular hand-held items like the Cincy Cheese Steak and Thai Lettuce Wraps, to farmer’s market specials.  Dinner favorites include Pacific Rim Halibut and the Rosemary Pork Loin.

The Bob Cupp signature-design golf course, with views of a seven-acre lake, is playable for all ages and skill levels and is the site of more than 20 member tournaments annually. The Four Bridges Golf Academy provides individual golf lessons, as well as clinics, camps, club fitting, and golf fitness screenings for players of all capabilities.

A complete sports complex remains a magnet for activity for all ages, with three pools, an interactive water feature, and a dedicated adults-only pool. The robust platform tennis program is regarded as the most competitive in the state and is based in a separate racquet facility where members also can enjoy tennis (Four Har-Tru clay and a hard court), six platform tennis courts, and pickleball courts.

Wil Lofgren, director of racquet sports—currently ranked among the Top 100 men’s platform tennis players in the nation—maintains a full calendar of racquet classes, tournaments, and other activities for men, women, and juniors.

The club’s members enjoy a full schedule of social events, including live music, mixology classes, themed dinners, sourdough baking classes, and much more. Kids are kept busy with year-round events targeted specifically to their age range, including The Flash swim team, holiday celebrations, summer sports camps, parents’ nights out, and more.

Four Bridges is one of six Ohio clubs owned by Arcis Golf, including TPC River’s Bend in Cincinnati, The Club at Tartan Fields in Columbus, and three in the Cleveland area.

An industry leader in providing inventive programming and unrivaled lifestyle amenities that complement exceptional golf offerings, Arcis Golf has invested more than $125 million in the past four years on property upgrades, new amenities, personnel, training, and systems to create extraordinary experiences and forge emotional connections with members and guests. The company has received numerous honors, including a National Golf Foundation “2025 Top 100 Businesses in Golf.”

ARCIS GOLF CONTINUES SEVEN-YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH ELS FOR AUTISM® 27 Mar 2025, 7:11 pm

Round Up 4 Els for Autism Rolls Out Nationwide In April

DALLAS (March 27, 2025)—It’s round up time at nearly 70 Arcis Golf private club and daily fee golf properties around the country, in conjunction with World Autism Month. “Round Up 4 Els for Autism,” the company’s annual April initiative to raise funds for Els for Autism Foundation®, runs April 1-30. The global mission of Els for Autism is to transform the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.

An extension of Arcis’s partnership with professional golfer and World Golf Hall of Fame member Ernie Els, his wife Liezl, and Els for Autism Foundation, April’s program has two components. Purchases—including merchandise, food and beverage, and golf—made by Arcis Golf club members and guests are “rounded up” to the nearest dollar with the round-up amounts donated to Els for Autism.

Moreover, each facility is free to stage events such as a golf tournament, fun run, casino night, fashion show, or other types of special events and programming to raise money that directly impact the lives of individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder. During the past six years, the company’s campaign has raised more than $675,000.

“The Els for Autism Foundation funds important programs that are the leading examples of what can be available to people with autism spectrum disorder,” said Blake Walker, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Arcis Golf. “Our clubs, members, and guests are always proud to participate in efforts to support the Foundation through the round up campaign and hosted events.”

Additional financial contributions will be accepted, either through an Arcis Golf Club or via an online donation. Clubs or individuals raising or donating $15,000 or more will be invited to send a two-person team to play in November’s Els for Autism Golf Challenge Grand Finale event in Nassau, The Bahamas.

“The support and partnership of Arcis Golf is truly appreciated,” said Ernie Els, who established the Els for Autism Foundation in 2009 with Liezl, after their son Ben was diagnosed. “By rounding up and engaging both Arcis’ members and guests in this simplest of actions, we can generate funds to make the world a better place for people with autism.”

The Foundation envisions a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with autism and their families and partnerships with companies like Arcis Golf, says Els, are key to its success. Its current capital campaign is to build a state-of-the-art recreation complex, offering the opportunity to develop a robust program for individuals with autism, including the Ernie Els #GameON Autism® Sports program. Ground will be broken this summer.

The recreation complex will be the first in the United States to incorporate the ASPECTSS™ Design Index, an acronym for Acoustics, Spatial Sequencing, Escape Space, Compartmentalization, Transitions, and Sensory Zoning. This research-based framework has been developed to create environments specifically designed for individuals with autism worldwide. Every area of the complex—including the Stanley Black & Decker Gymnasium, aquatics center, and splash pad—will provide an autism-friendly experience backed by research.

Another vital component of the recreation complex is the aquatics center. Drowning remains the leading cause of death for autistic children, with Florida reporting the highest number of such tragedies.

“This heartbreaking statistic underscores the importance of our aquatics center, which will also include a splash pad,” said Els for Autism Executive Director Marlene Sotelo, EdD., BCBA-D, MT-BC. “The center will allow us to provide critical water safety education and drowning prevention programs to individuals on our campus.”

Sotelo underscored the importance of the commitment shown from Arcis Golf to the Els for Autism Foundation. “We eagerly anticipate the positive impact of this partnership and the meaningful strides that Arcis Golf will make toward fostering a culture of autism inclusion,” she said.

The partnership with Els for Autism Foundation is one of the numerous ways Arcis Golf supports national philanthropic organizations, including United States Adaptive Golf Alliance, Love Hope Strength Foundation, and Women In Golf Foundation, along with the many local charities in the broader communities it serves.

ARCIS GOLF PRESENTS WOMEN IN GOLF FOUNDATION’S 30th ANNUAL NATIONAL WOMEN’S COLLEGIATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 26 Mar 2025, 6:25 pm

13 College Teams Will Compete For Renee Powell Cup at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch

DALLAS (March 25, 2025) — For the third consecutive year, Arcis Golf — the second largest owner and operator of private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States — is the Presenting Sponsor for the National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship.

The 30th annual event, conducted by the Women In Golf Foundation, Inc. (WIGF), will be held March 30 to April 2 at The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch, an Arcis Golf facility in Katy, Texas, located 30 miles west of Houston. This is the second straight year the event has been played at the beautiful par-71 course, voted “Top 25 Best of Texas” by Gulf Coast Golfer.

The invitational championship is WIGF’s major fundraising event and will feature 13 women’s college golf teams competing for the Renee Powell Cup, named for and in honor of the second-ever African American woman to play on the LPGA Tour and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

At last year’s event, Howard University won the Division I title dominantly as it finished 40 strokes ahead of Delaware State University. Howard’s Emily Mayne, a sophomore from Jamaica, was the 2024 individual medalist and will return with her team to defend their titles.

Led by Kaathi Gunasegar, a junior from Malaysia, Lincoln University (located near Oxford, Pa.) won last year’s Division II crown and will return this year.

In addition to Howard, Delaware State, and Lincoln, the other 10 participating schools include: Alabama State University, Chicago State University, Edwin Waters College, Fisk University, Johnson and Wales University, Paine College, Prairie View A&M University, Savannah State University, Southern University, and Texas Southern University.

The WIGF, headquartered in Atlanta, is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes women in golf. The organization focuses on creating opportunities for females by implementing programs that develop leadership and life skills as they learn to play the game of golf competitively for business and recreational purposes. WIGF has contributed more than $300,000 to collegiate women’s golf programs, while more than 2,000 women and girls have participated and benefitted from the work of WIGF at both the collegiate and junior golf levels.

As part of the overall event, the WIGF hosts an impactful professional development session for the student-athletes. Like previous years, the session provides a unique platform for industry leaders—including those from Arcis Golf—to share their career and personal growth stories, offer best practices, and inspire young women as they prepare for their future careers.

The 30th anniversary theme of this year’s event is “Sankofa Swing: Honoring the Past, Driving the Future.”

“Inspired by the Sankofa bird, a powerful Ghanaian symbol that teaches us to look back and honor our past to move forward and build our future, we have created our focus for 2025,” LaJean Gould, President of WIGF, explained. “The Sankofa bird stands with its feet facing forward while reaching back to retrieve an egg, representing the wisdom, experiences, and foundation that shape future successes—a message that deeply reflects the mission of WIGF.”

Gould said she is indebted to Arcis Golf for its ongoing partnership with WIGF and added that the venue shift to The Golf Club at Cinco Ranch helped heighten the event’s visibility and attracted more teams. Last year’s championship featured 11 schools.

“At Arcis Golf, we are committed to inclusiveness at all levels,” said Blake Walker, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Arcis Golf. “The National Women’s Collegiate Championship is more than a competitive golf tournament. It’s an opportunity for these student-athletes to network with one another, attend potentially life-changing professional development sessions, and explore options for their futures.”

The National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship carries great significance for Linnet Carty, who is both Arcis Golf’s Director of Representation and a WIGF board member.

“Through events and initiatives, Arcis Golf supports access and golf career opportunities,” explained Carty. “These impactful programs provide a dual pathway to the athletes in green grass or the business of golf, and LaJean’s vision contributes to making this a high-quality experience.”

Earlier this year, Arcis Golf sponsored the Arcis X HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) Golf Championship at The Club at Weston Hills in Weston, Fla. The event showcased 17 HBCU men’s and women’s golf teams in three rounds of competition, as well as a Boys and Girls Club golf clinic for first timers, an alumni tournament, a career expo, and concurrent learning opportunities for all participants.

Additionally, in support of women’s golf, the company sponsors LPGA Tour golfer Lilia Vu and rising professional Maisie Filler, Clearview H.O.P.E. for Women Veteran golfers, and hosts the first two rounds of the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) each spring at its Champions Retreat course in Augusta, Ga. Arcis Golf also opens its clubs to HBCU golf teams around the country as part of its grow-the-game initiatives.

ATLANTA ATHLETIC CLUB MEMBERS APPROVE FUNDING TO COMPLETE LONG-TERM MASTER PLAN 18 Mar 2025, 7:04 pm

Highlands Course to be Renovated in 2028 by Golf Course Architect Andrew Green

John’s Creek, GA (March 18, 2025) – The members of Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) have overwhelmingly endorsed capital funding for a long-term master plan to update and renovate key operational areas of the club. Over the next seven years, the investments will touch most areas of the club, including golf, tennis, athletic and dining operations of this storied club. Among the more significant changes will be the renovation of the famed Highlands Course, site of numerous major championships and other prestigious events.

Along with the golf course, the focus is on modernizing and elevating a wide array of facilities during this period, including the Men’s Grill with the addition of a new patio, Tennis Center with a new outdoor viewing pavilion, adding year-round family casual dining to the Aquatic Center, locker rooms in the fitness and tennis complexes, and the Jones Teaching Center. The construction of the Men’s Grill and new patio will commence this fall.

“Few other clubs in the country have the rich history and legacy of Atlanta Athletic Club. We’re also fortunate to have a membership that understands the need to maintain our infrastructure, key features, and our championship golf legacy,” said Club President, John Stakel. “It is our responsibility to be good stewards of club assets, just as past generations did the same for current members,” he added.

Andrew Green, President of AH Green Design, Green Golf & Turf, has been selected as the renovation golf course architect for the Highlands Course. Planning for the renovation will start over the next several months and construction is expected to start early in 2028. Over the past decade, Green has been responsible for some of the most notable renovations of major championship venues, including Inverness Club (Toledo, Ohio); Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course (Rochester, New York); Congressional Country Club’s Blue Course (Potomac, Maryland); Interlachen Country Club (Minneapolis, Minnesota); Scioto Country Club (Columbus, Ohio); and East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

“There are few organizations in the United States that mean this much to the game of golf. Atlanta Athletic Club has produced so many great players and has contributed immensely to growing the game,” said Green.  “I am tremendously honored to have the opportunity to build on Atlanta Athletic Club’s legacy of greatness.  The Highlands Course occupies some intriguing ground.  We look forward to maximizing the opportunity for unique golf that can test the world’s best while providing a canvas to enjoy the game every day at the highest level, no matter your skill level.”

Highlands, which hosted the 1976 U.S. Open Championship, three PGA Championships (1981, 2001 and 2011), U.S. Women’s Open Championship (1990), 2014 U.S. Amateur Championship, and, most recently, the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

“We spoke to many of the top architects in the world and concluded that Andrew is the right individual to renovate Highlands,” said Stakel. “Working with an architect of his extensive pedigree ensures the variety of golf experiences and enjoyment for our existing and future members, as well as for championship play.  We are excited that the fully renovated Highlands Course will be ready for the 2030 U.S. Amateur Championship.”

In 2022, AAC renovated its Riverside Course under the direction of architect Tripp Davis who re-envisioned the routing, playing strategy, and visual quality. In 2023, his work earned 2nd place nationally in the Best Transformation category in Golf Digest’s annual rankings. The U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship will be contested on the Riverside Course, July 14-19, 2025.

AAC will host its second U.S. Amateur in 2030, utilizing both courses, which will mark the 100th anniversary of Bobby Jones’ completion of the “Grand Slam” (victories in the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, British Open, and British Amateur). Jones was a former president and an active member of AAC until his death in 1971. The U.S. Women’s Amateur will be contested on the Highlands Course in 2035.

Located 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, the AAC is a private 36-hole club founded in 1898. In 1969, the Club relocated to its current location.
