If you’re looking for an event that combines the best of all worlds, look no further — the 13th Annual Blue Ridge Blues & BBQ Festival is here! On Saturday, September 21st, 2024, the best blues and barbecue will come together at West Main and Church Street for an unforgettable experience. From smoky ribs to sweet jams and seasonings, there’s something for everyone.

Festival Activities & Live Music

The festival features a variety of activities sure to please music lovers and foodies alike. Starting on Thursday, September 19th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the event officially kicks off in Downtown Blue Ridge with The official kick-off party for Blues & BBQ Weekend.

Main Event – Blues & BBQ

On Saturday, September 21tst the main event comes to Downtown Blue Ridge as the Blue Ridge Blues & BBQ Festival gates open at 11:30 a.m. rain or shine tickets are $10, and kids 12 and under are FREE. All while you take in the sweet smell and mouth-watering taste of BBQ from local and regional cookers.

+ Live music starts at Noon with Shannon York until 1:00 p.m.

+ William “Bluesman” Reed and the Juke Joint Dukes play from 1:00 to 3:30.

+ The Crossroads band starts at 3:30 p.m. and goes until 5:00 p.m.

+ Ray Fuller and the Bluesrockers from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

+ Tee Dee Young takes the stage from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Also returning again is the legendary Kids Korner. Children 12 & under can play for free. Kids over 12 can play for $5 and will receive a special bracelet that will allow them to enjoy the inflatable rides all day, while inside the festival grounds.

• 4-Hour Holiday Pavilion Tour with State Line Layover: Conducted on December 2, 9, 16, and 23, this 4-hour roundtrip includes a 2-hour layover in McCaysville, GA/Copperhill, TN. Continuing past the Post Office, make a right towards Suches/Dahlonega, and proceed for 11.3 scenic and winding miles. Keep an eye out for the Old Skeenah Mill, and after passing it, travel 0.7 miles until you encounter FS816. Take a right onto the gravel road, where a subtle “hiker sign” stands across the way—it might be easy to overlook, so stay vigilant. The journey ahead involves a three-mile bumpy ride, ideally suited for SUVs, as low cars might find the path challenging. After parking, a brief hike downstream along the Benton/MacKaye Duncan Ridge National Recreation Trail leads you to the magnificent Swinging Bridge, spanning the Toccoa River it is an impressive site for the memory books.
